Pouring, Drawing, Crying, and Prayer

Hei, Hei,

I hope this post finds all of you safe, warm, dry, and prosperous.  It has been crazy week, more for some than others.  I took a moment to reflect this morning after feeling yet another little tremor.  I am told that one gets used to them, but I am not sure.  In that moment of reflection, I took a moment to see how many little such tremors we had experiences in the past 30 days.  There were 12, but this was the only one I truly felt and recognized.   Am I heading to the point of being "past feeling".  I hope not.

But that was just in my part of the world.  There are others who have endured worse and I am sure had deeper and more urgent concerns.  I pray for you all, even if I don't know that which you are enduring.  Which leads me into my pondering this week: Alma 34:18-27(yep, just a few, but that all fit in)

"Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for his is might to save."

"Yea, humble yourselves and continue in prayer unto him."

"Cry unto him when ye are in your fields, yea, over all your flocks."

"Cry unto him in your houses, yea, over all your household, both morning, mid-day, and evening."

"Yea, cry unto him against the power of your enemies."

"Yea, cray unto him against the devil, who is an enemy to all righteousness."

"Cry unto him over the crops of your fields, that ye may prosper in them."

"Cry over the flocks of your fields, that they may increase."

"But this is not all; ye must pour out your souls in your closets, and in your secret places, and in your wilderness."

"Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your hearts be full, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your welfare, and also for the welfare of those who are around you."

What an amazing exhortation.  However, as wonderful and amazing as they are, some things stood out to me this week that have not in the past.

Prayer - Cry - Pour Out - Let your heart be Full and Drawn out

Is there a difference between praying, crying, pouring out, and letting ones heart being full/drawn out?

Have you experienced all such emotions?  Have you recorded them?  How have they blessed you?  What mercies have you received as a result?

As I have pondered moments in my life when I have experiences all of the above, I am grateful, truly grateful for the rich communion, instruction, and mercies that have filled my soul as a result of them.  I hope that you will likewise be blessed.

Our week -

The Queen continues to endure the endless days of boredom.  She works tirelessly to fill them with what she deems as productivity.  She did not receive the answers she was seeking this week and moves to another with anticipation.  She also initiated the process of trying to return to work, but that is proving to be just as challenging as being out.

The Professor has made come definitive choices in the past days.  Now she is waiting for the opportunity to capitalize on them.  We shall see.  Each day brings opens new doors of questions and opportunity.

Tall Man is also in a waiting game, but filling his time with school and work.  Ehl-Bo juggles a gaggle of projects while trying to keep up with Lego's endless flow of energy.  We had the joy of caring for Lego this weekend.  We all took naps today, just sayin.

Puddin has made and investment.  Lady Hawkins is gearing up for an exciting adventure on the E.R.

SnackPack completed his first class and is moving on to the next while balancing sometimes muddy escapades.
