Things on my mind

I am sharing what has been on my mind for the past few days. I hope it gets you thinking like it has me.

2 Nephi 8

Hearken unto me, ye that follow after righteousness. Look unto the rock from whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit from whence ye are digged.

Can you imagine the rock?

What about the hole of the pit?

These are the visions that were running through my head as I read last week.

For the Lord shall comfort Zion, he will comfort all her waste places and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord...

Can you see the garden?

...the captive exile hasteneth, that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail...

How many of us hasten to be loosed? As I walked the beach, I was these exiled rocks that had been tossed from the pit of righteousness. They seek to be free.

Even once they are free, they may find themselves tossed in the waves of the Lord. Refined upon the sands of the sea. Rolled and polished as they see to find the garden of the Lord.

I thought of those who seek the light, the promises and convenants of the Lord.
