Day Off?
What does that mean? Today was my day off from work, but I felt like I worked all day. I am not complaining, it's just that I don't think it should be called a day off.
As I sit here wallowing in self pity, I began to think about The Queen. Today was a vacation day for her. She did not get to sleep in, she worked her tail off and will do it again tomorrow. How is that a vacation?
The Queen and I talked about the our up coming vacation. The plan was to to go away together, but one thing has led to another and we don't seem to have the funding. I asked what she wanted to do and received a shrug. I am wondering what kind a vacation it will be? Everyone in the house will be in school or working. Our days will start at 5 a.m. like any other day. They will end at 10 or 11 just the same. Stuff will happen in the middle there, but they will just be days.
Sorry to share my rants with you, I just think it is ironic that we call them days off or vacation days when in reality, they are just other days, different work environment.
