Busy Bunny Week

Where do I begin. It has been a wonderful weekend.  I have been inspired with many thoughts. However, I know that I cannot start them all at once.  I will just have to focus the next 6 months and take them one at a time.  Hope you will do the same.

My real focus this week has been on a couple thoughts that have come through daily study.  The opening article of the New ERA this month is great.  Elder Christofferson shared some great insight that I have never really thought about before.

He talks of looking to God each day of our lives.  Most importantly looking to him in prayer.  This thought caught my attention as I have been trying to focus more on my communication with the Lord.  He pointed out that in Christ's exemplar prayer he showed us that each day we should be asking the Lord to "give us this day our daily bread..." Matt. 6:11.  My mind and heart started reeling.  His message was inspiring.  He shared how there was a time in his life that he learned that praying for change is not always the answer, but that praying for sustenance each day is.

As the children of Israel were wandering the wilderness, Jehovah provided "manna" or "daily bread" for them.  He taught them that as long as they are doing what is required of them, doing their best each day, he will provide for them the power to make it until the next.

In the New Testament, Jesus declares that he is the "bread of life".  We need to turn to him each day and call upon the powers of the Atonement to help us make it through each day.  Think about it.  What is it that you need assistance with to make it through each day?  What daily supply of sustenance to you need the most?  I know it has changed the way I kneel in prayer.  Think about it.

This week has been a short week as far as work and school go.

SnackPack, the Queen, Professor, and I took off on Thursday evening and went on a mini vacation/visit to Dixie.  It has been fun.  We met up with the Bingham crew and visited some of our beloved missionaries.  SnackPack has been a good sport about it all, even though he has felt like crap most of the weekend.

Yes, we left Tall Man on his own.  He also had a few days off this week that allowed him to attend the sealing of good friends.  We have reached out to him a couple of times and he is doing his best to push through as well.  When we left, he too was beginning to fight the same thing SnackPack was struggling with.

We look forward to hearing from those we have not visited with over the past few days, tomorrow.

Here are some pictures just to make you smile.  The Professor has some other ones that we hope she shares with all of us.  So does the Bingham crew.  I look forward to seeing them soon and then we will share.

We went on a hike.

Two Cliff Jumpers.

He was able to tame the wild.

They painted the town.

I only did what the sign told me to do.
