DO! DO! DO!
Here we are, at the end of another week. It has been a good week. It started out a little rough for some, but sounds like it ended on a good note.
My pondering has gone up and down this week. I have tried to focus on 2 Nephi 31:17-18. Every time I read this scripture I get caught up on the words. I know I have talked about it before. As I have combined these verses with the words of General Leaders from Conference, I find myself doing it again.
This time I read them together and combined them with the thoughts we have been hearing about through out this entire chapter.
DO!
"...do the things which I have told you..."
"...do the things...that your Lord and your Redeemer should do..."
Are we paying attention to what He did? Are we trying to do the things He did? Are we seeing the things that He does in our lives?
This is what it is all about.
Then verse 18.
When we started IN this path. I have always been caught up in this wording. We are not ON a path, we are IN this STRAIT and NARROW path, not ON a STRAIGHT and NARROW path. Walking home to our Heavenly Father is not a tight rope act. The path is not STRAIGHT. There are many turns, curves, ups and downs. We are IN the STRAIT which leads to Him. It is NARROW, but not restricting. Think about it. Don't get distracted by trying to get OUT of the path. Take it one step at a time. Moving forward always. Enduring to the end.
There are my thoughts.
So, it has been a good week. I thought this was my last week of travel, but when I returned on Wednesday, there were further developments that may require me to hit the road again before the end of the year. We will see.
Monday was just a normal day. We all did what we do. However, Comcast was down, NATIONWIDE, that messed things up a little when it came to communication. Unfortunately, when we got up early Tuesday morning, CenturyLink was playing the same game. I was glad I was moving instead of needing the net.
Luckily, after the Queen dropped me off at the airport at O dark thirty, the wi-fi was up and running again. She spent the next couple of day doing what she does best.
On Thursday, we ran away for the weekend after she got off work. It was such a good time.
The Professor spent her Monday at school, then in class after school. It was kinda crazy.
While I was gone, she did what she does best and then things got crazy on Friday. You will have to ask her about her adventures at the senior center. She needs to write a book.
We were thrilled to spend a little bit of time with Tall Man and Ehl-Bo on the other side of the mountain this weekend. It was fun. Tall Man dropped by a couple times on this side of the mountain before going to the other side. It sounds like Ehl-Bo's move to their side of the lake has been delayed a little, but coming soon. We will keep you updated.
We did not hear much from Puddin and Lady Hawkins. We know they are busy and hope they know they were missed. We look forward to hearing from them soon.
