Wholly! Jump in and Do!
I am still alive!
I know it has been a short minute since I last posted, but I let our weekend adventure blend into the week. Then I felt like I was playing catch up for the rest of the week and just did not get around to posting. So here I am.
It has been a wonderfully busy couple of weeks. I have had my mind filled with many things through out them. I will admit that two weeks ago, my thoughts did not follow my prescribed study plan, but they were very much related.
I will see if I can bring this week's pondering together with last week's pondering.
This week - D&C 76:46-49
Last week - 2 Nephi 32-33, with lots of reference to chapters 29-31 as well.
Where do I begin. Prophets!
As I pondered this week's verses, I found myself more focused on verse 47 and 49. These two men, ordained, apostles, prophets, seers, and revelators had a small glimpse of the kind of suffering that would come upon those who chose not to follow/obey/live the gospel of Jesus Christ and those who willfully chose to oppose His gospel.
Did they understand everything thing they saw and heard? No. They could not fully understand it without enduring it. The glimpse they were given was to give them a stronger witness and voice of persuasion among God's children here on earth.
But my pondering went beyond that. If they were given this knowledge and wisdom, what doubt is left to believe that they were not given more.
Jumping back to 2 Nephi, again a prophet of God was given insight, vision, knowledge and wisdom, not only to see what would become of his family who chose not to follow his teaching, but to see us in our day and the cause and effects of those who choose not to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As I pondered this word and then added to my study the words of LIVING PROPHETS on the earth today, any doubt was removed from my mind. We have LIVING PROPHETS today! They have been give, are given, and will be given the insight/vision, knowledge, and wisdom to persuade us about the world we live in today. They have been on the earth for quite some time. Are we listening? Are we heeding? Are we doing so with full commitment? Or are we selective in what counsel and direction they share from the insight they have been given?

Our weeks -
Two weeks ago, I found myself in the windy city. It wasn't very windy. It was warm, but not do terribly bad. It was a week filled with meeting and adventure. At the end of the week, I met the Queen on the west coast for a weekend adventure. We drove through some of the most beautiful sights and country. We visited a house of the Lord. We experiences temperature of one extreme to another. It not quite snow like we did on our last adventure but it was close. Within hours we went from triple digits to 40s and deep, thick fog, that rolled right before our eyes. It was amazing.
We then rolled into this week where I did my best to catch up on work assignments and the Queen did her best to finish up projects started long ago. We were surprised to come home and find that the Professor, Tall-Man, and Ehl-Bo had given us a gift of finishing the painting in two of the rooms. It was an amazing gift, without it we would still be knee deep in painting to this day.
The Professor has also been super busy getting ready for a new school year. She has soo, sooo, much on her plate right now. She is trying to juggle it all and get ready for the kiddos who come back to the classroom on Wednesday.
Tall-Man added another year to his belt this past week. I had the opportunity to go out with him and a couple others to knock around a little round ball of various colors. It was good times had by all. We understand that Ehl-Bo has been a little under the weather, but on the mend. We were glad to see her every chance we had over the past couple of weeks.
Puddin and Lady Hawkins are crazy busy with school, work, and random adventures. Some of the risky adventures are a little too tight for our liking, but they were successful. From Cache County to the Arches, and from the Arches to Queens and back. It was a crazy fun trip they say, but WOW! It was good to catch up and visit with them this afternoon.
We were blessed with a visit from Songbird this week. She has been busy in flight/travel since graduation. She has had very little time to work. It was fun to see her very own mode of transportation, hear about some of her adventures, and know that she has more to come. Thanks for stopping by.
