Define - Your Hope, Your Vision, Your Action = Your Faith

Good Morning -

Here we are in the middle of a holiday weekend.  What have you been doing with it?  Have there been any adventures?  What has been memorable about this week?  Where have you recorded it?

Our week has been rather uneventful.  There was a little bit of snow, then rain, then snow, and more rain.  The temps are confusing the tulip and daffodil bud in our front flower box.  The shoots are trying to push through the little snow clusters that remain on the flower bed.  Crazy weather patterns.

Oh there were a couple earthquakes, not that we felt them or anything.  If we did it was no different than the rumblings of fuel burn just south of us and no noticeable damage.  It does give one reason to wonder though.  Things I need to work on changing.

See...nothing exciting.

How about your pondering?  Any thing stand out this week?  I have had several little moments, but that is nothing new.

This week, my thoughts were on Ether 12:6

"And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."

Remember last week was about the people some 3000 years ago(my guess) that were told of marvelous things, yet they did not believe.  Now, Moroni, a prophet of some 1600 years ago(my guess) is writing a document.  He is not writing it for his children, but "the world".  His message pertains to all of God's children, past, present, and future.  That has resonated with me this week.

These verses come from a book call Ether, another ancient prophet/messenger/angel sent to God's children.  He was doing his best to proclaim great and marvelous things.  Things that pertain to the Kingdom of God and how we can not only build a small likeness of His kingdom here on earth, but what we need to do to prepare to one day live in His kingdom again some day.

Moroni was also an ancient prophet/messenger/angel, tasked with compiling a record that teaches of Jesus Christ, His gospel, and the plan of His/our Father, that we might build a small likeness of His kingdom and prepare to one day live in His kingdom again.  Within this record we see many great and marvelous things.

Today, we have a prophet/messenger/angel on the earth.  Through his prophetic mantel he works and calls apostles, seventies, priests, teachers, bishops, and presidents to do the same as those before him.  They declare great and marvelous things.

I think you get the point.

On the flip side, I have realized more over the past several years that there are also many on the earth who have chosen to follow the adversary or been misguided to believe that the words, messages, and visions of those who follow the adversary.  They, like the prophets/messengers/angels of God the Father, are doing their best to persuade God's children to see a different kingdom.  A kingdom void of agency.

My question has been this week, which to I HOPE for?  What is that HOPE inspiring in me to do?  Are the great and marvelous things I am HOPING for, the same as what God would have me see?  What about the world? What is the general population HOPING for?  What great and marvelous plan are they seeing and where does it lead them/us?

I realize that there are changes I need to make.  Areas that I need to be more FAITHFUL in.  I need to exercise that FAITH.  It is not always easy.  It is not always fun.  But, I do know, from the times and experiences of when I have exercised my FAITH in things that I have HOPED for that are good and in balance with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the result or trial of my FAITH is more than I could ever imagine.

That being said, I realize that I need to SEE more clearly.  I need to have a vision of what I HOPE for and exercise my FAITH by doing something to obtain that vision of what I HOPE for.

What do you HOPE for?  What does it look like?  What are you doing to get there?  How can I help?

Our week -

Well, the Queen started a new adventure this week.  She spent many hours learning a new product this week.  She still has three weeks to go, but it is making the most of it.  I also witnessed her doing something about one vision she has this week.  It is a vision we have all shared.  I am learning that it is not just a vision where we exercise our faith once and call it good.  It is a vision that requires constant exercise of faith.  Together, we have many visions.  Some we work on individually and some we work on together.  Some we have been working on for a long time and they continue to evolve as we do.

The Professor continues to plug along.  She had to make up a PTC.  That was fun, but uneventful.  She played with some apps, did some service, and continued trying to fine tune her visions.

Tall Man and Ehl-Bo joined us for dinner last weekend.  It was nice to catch up with them.  Many "aha" moments were shared.  We hope that those moments are seen as results from trials of faith and also moments of learning as they continue to shape and mold their visions and plans.

Reports from the great north are that Puddin and Lady Hawkins are "Good".  That is what we hear from them.  They continue to adjust to the changes in routine and life.  We look forward to hearing how it pans out.

SnackPack and Songbird dropped in yesterday.  School is going well for both.  Songbird added a class and continues to adjust to the new work schedule, but she is happier with the job.  SnackPack is starting to mentor other in his new job.  It has been a great learning/development experience for him.  It is always fun to hear of his adventures.

Love you all -
