Power shall descend upon them...

Hey Hey,

I know it is very late where you all might be.  In fact, many of you may already be in bed.  Interestingly enough, we missed Sunday all together this week.  I know it is still Sunday where you are, but it is Monday evening where we are and I am trying to catch up instead of skip out.

I hope you have had a wonderful week.  Mine has been great.  It has been busy.  I was only out of town one day during the work week and the rest is just vacationing.  In addition to my pondering, we have been studying 1 Nephi 14 as a family.  The verse that not only stood out to me, but built upon my personal pondering was verse 14.

"And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who were scattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory."

Look out it goes with:

Ether 12:12-15

"For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith."

"Behold, it was the faith of Alma and Amulek that caused the prison to tumble to the earth."
"Behold, it was the faith of Nephi and Lehi that wrought the change upon the Lamanites, that they were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost."
"Behold, it was the faith of Ammon and his brethren which wrought so great a miracle among the Lamanites."
These individuals and groups of people understood the power of the Lamb of God.  Do we?
This month's Ensign talks about the understanding the power of the Priesthood.  The brethren have talked to us lately about understanding the full power and potential of the Priesthood in our lives.  Are we?
Are we preparing to be these people in the days that John wrote of and that Nephi saw?  Are we enlisting to the Battalion of God?  I have pondered upon this a great deal this week and know that I have much room for improvement.  I invite you to do the same.
Our Week -
The Queen finished her last week of on the job training for this new department.  Then she went on vacation.  I joined her.
The Professor struggled to get away during the last few days of being off track.  After many obstacles, she was joined by Lady Hawkins for a mini get away.  We have not heard all of the reports, but understand it was fun.
Tall Man is busy with work and rehearsals.  Ehl-Bo is busy with different commissions and getting ready for a new bundle of joy.
Puddin didn't get to go on any adventures per say, but he did make the best of his time while the rest of us played.
SnackPack celebrated another year of life.  He wanted to do it some where that he had never been before.  It took some juggling, but I think we were able to meet his needs.  He celebrated his 21st on a remote island and was able to play on the beach and in the ocean.  We will see what the rest of the week brings us.
