He is Sent from Heaven

Happy Sabbath to All -

It has been a wonderful day so far, for me anyway.  How has yours been?  I am sure there is still much to accomplish.

My pondering thoughts this week, John 14:28:

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Where do I begin?

This past week I had the opportunity to conduct some interviews with ward members.  At some point in each one the relationship with the Holy Ghost came up.  None of them said that they had any grand experience that they would say was worth recording in history books, but they knew that the Holy Ghost had influenced them, reminded them, comforted them, guided them, and even protected them at some point or another in their lives.  In reality, it was just the small and simple things where he had touched their lives that strengthen their testimonies.

I have pondered a great deal upon this.  It amazes me how many people overlook or push off these small and simple interactions that we are able to have each day as something of not.  There is a great promise in this verse, but even more importantly knowing who the Holy Ghost is and where he is coming from should make these small and simple moments incredible.

The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead.  He sits in council with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as they seek to help us return to them.

The Holy Ghost, like Jesus Christ, is sent to us from the presence of our Heavenly Father.  He is real.  His powerful.  He serves us with purpose, if we are but willing to hear, feel, and follow him.

I invite you to look for and record those small and simple moments.  Pray for them each morning at the start of your day, then reflect upon them each night and give credit where credit is due as you pray each night.  I think you will be amazed at the changes you will see in your life as your recognize and heed his guiding counsel each day.  I know that I have been.

Our week -

The Queen continues to set and accomplish weekly goals.  It has been a busy one this week.  Her work schedule has once again changed.  We are all making the adjustment.  Rumor has it that it will change again in August.

The Professor and Gus-Gus have attended a couple training classes together.  When she is not training, she has been finalizing projects to wrap of her summer classes.  Now is the time to start prepping for the new school year.

Tall Man replaced his totaled bike.  Ehl-Bo and Lego spent some time with us this afternoon.  It was fun to catch up and see all the changes that have happened in the past couple weeks.  It sounds like they were able to get with SnackPack earlier in the week and catch some rays on the lake.

Puddin continues to improve through POST.  Lady Hawkins is considering changes in her work now that she has been certified and licensed for bigger and better things.  She is counting down the days for school to start.

SnackPack and I were able to catch up this week over some fallen pins.  He has been building, training, and consulting.  Life is an adventure with him.
