Instruction
I have been reflecting upon the past few weeks of life. I hear myself asking for a return to normalcy. However, when I am sat down and asked what normal is, I really can't define it. So now, I sit here reflecting upon what I have.
Tuesday evening, I was able to return to serving in the temple. It was fairly close to feeling normal. During prayer meeting, we had the opportunity to hear from a member of the temple presidency and his companion. It is the comments of his companion that I have been dwelling upon.
She talked of reverence. Her comments followed an outline, but were not formally written out. She shared with us some of those times in her life when she has truly felt reverent and the power of reverence in her live.
Waking early to ponder the word of God before the hustle and bustle of daily life starts.
Reflecting upon the events of life in a journal.
Witnessing the birth of a child or grandchild.
Having the opportunity of watching that same child or grandchild return to our Father in Heaven later in life.
Feeling the warm embrace of the Lord when witnessing that return seemed unbearable.
Sitting in the presence of a prophet.
Receiving a witness of truth as it is spoken from a steward of God.
Entering the temple.
Witnessing ordinances performed as if for the first time for each proxy.
Sunrise.
Sunset.
Stars.
Recognizing the hand of God in all things.
What moments do you have? How often do you have them? What can you do to change it?
