Another Adventure
I cannot believe it has been a year since I last posted. Life has been busy since then. Not that that is an excuse or anything, but it has.
This morning I started my day at the temple. Tall man invited me to be his companion for a few hours. He wanted to be able to say he had been. It also gave us some time to talk.
Last night he was set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The new adventure is really his to be had, but it also gives me a wonderful glimpse of my Father in Heaven's glory as we all live his adventure vicariously.
As he has prepared for this adventure, we have seen him grow and learn. Many have commented how much he has changed, how grown up he seems, and what a wonderful job we have done raising him. I have pondered the process. I don't know that I have always been the best father, but together we have learned. We have seen the amazing power of the atonement build bridges where we have created chasms. And now to see him walking forward in such amazing faith gives me a small glimpse of what our Father in Heaven must go through millions of times over each and every day. It is an honor to have the opportunity to be part of this adventure.
He will be a great light to those he associates with.
Thanks for opening another door of this life. I hope to be better at keeping all updated.
