Words of Wisdom
Yes, I am stealing these words of wisdom. I hope none of you mind. For those who have already heard the message, Heed It!
This evening, I had the opportunity to hear an important message has started me thinking.
"Always give everything you do 100%. 99% or less will not cut it. Giving 101% or more takes the something from somewhere else, which means you are not giving 100% in everything you do."
Last night I had the opportunity to meet with our Stake President. He again reminded me, us, what is important when extending a calling or accepting a calling. We need to remember that it is always important to prioritize our lives.
1 - Our Families
2 - Our Employment
3 - Our Calling
I am sure there are other things I could add to this list, but these seem to be the ones that occupy most of my time. All of them are intertwined with my happiness and well being. Yet I have the hardest time giving each of them 100% equally. I always find myself giving more to one than the another at any given time. Then I feel unbalanced, less productive, and spiraling into cycles of guilt. I know I need to work on it. How about you?
This was only one bit of wisdom, I think I will use the other for my talk on Sunday, if I have time.
Remember to be AAA!
