He is no respecter of persons

Greetings All!

I know that I am a little late this week.  Yesterday just came and went in what seemed like a blink of an eye, but in hindsight, it was a most wonderful day that will be become part of my memories forever.  To all you sweet women of the world.  I hope the time you spent with family and loved ones will be one you too remember forever.

My thoughts this week are many, but my message is short and simple.  I have been reminded many times this week that it does not matter who you are, Satan, like our Father in Heaven, is no respecter of person.  However, he, unlike our Father in Heaven, works to discourage, build doubt, and fear of ourselves and those around us.  I guess my observations of the recent past have been sparked by reading in JSH 1:14-15.

My thoughts are drawn to the end of verse 14, "...amidst all the anxieties I had..."  Does this sound familiar?  How many of us have anxieties?  They may not be the same anxieties.  To some they may seem small and insignificant.  Just as  the anxieties we see others having may appear to us to be the same.  But to each of us, they are anxieties.  At times, they may seem to be overwhelming and other we have a pretty good handle on them.  However, they don't just go away.  They are there, they are part of us, that make us strong or weak.

What then do we do?  I then jumped back to the beginning of verse 14, maybe even 12 and 13.  We are given an example.  Young Joseph did all he could on his own to overcome or change these anxieties to strengths.  He sought counsel and direction for respected authorities and his parents.  And finally, with determination, he went to God in Faith.

As we jump to verse 15, we see that it was not easy.  If we span the events that following this one act, we know that the challenges, the difficulties, the contentions, and dismissal of these anxieties did not just go away.  They continued day in and day out.  But Joseph learned to become strong with the assistance of the Lord.

Satan will not give up.  He will continue to do all he can to flip the switches on our anxieties.  I pray that you will find hope as I have found hope in this marvelous example.  We are not alone.  We can endure.  We can become strong.  I know this.

The week has been busy.  There are been highs and lows, but such is life.

The Queen is busy trying to adjust and plan activities under the new stake.  Work is just plugging along.  And we made some time to get out of the house this week.  That is always nice.

The Professor is working fast and furiously to wrap up her class.  She has been off track and now has to start thinking about next year.  She will ride the school year out for a few more weeks, ending on July 1st.  Then she has a few days off before she gets ready for a new school year that starts with a new class around July 25.  Mind you she will have to be in the classroom before that preparing for them to arrive.  Yep, that is her summer.

Tall Man has been catching upon rest, working around the house, helping in the yard, and ice skating down the stairs.  It has been painful, but he is enduring it well.  Coughing, sitting, moving, and such are all intensified in many ways.

SnackPack has a story to tell.  I will let him tell it.  It has been a busy week for him.  He took two AP tests, worked, and played polo.  The season is coming to an end.  It looks like the boys are seeded 4th and the girls are seeded 2nd.  JV is this week and Varsity is next.  In the middle some where, he has 2 more AP tests, some kidnappings, graduation, and tour to prepare for.  P.S. the new gaming is sweet.

I love you all.  Have a great week.
