Providing the Way

Greetings All -

I hope this post finds you all well and in cheery spirits.

This week has been a week of learning.  I love the fact that I am able to continually learn and grow.  There is so much out there to learn, ponder, toss around, and experience.  At the same time there is so much out there that can also deceive, tear down, belittle, and diminish us as well.  The challenge is being able to recognize the difference.

One of the many things that I did learn this week was that there has been a way provided to know the difference.  It is just up to us to apply it.  Among all the other things I have done this week, Alma 12:28-29 has been one of my focus point.  Take a moment to stop what you are doing right now and open the book, app, or Internet and read the words of these verses..... Isn't that incredibly amazing?

Our Heavenly Father has a plan.  Not only is it a universal, eternal, infinite plan, but it is an individual plan.  How often do we forget that?  How often do we give up because we get lost in the grandness of the big plan?  How often do we fail to see the "me" in the plan?

It happens.  I am guilty of it.  For whatever reason, I get lost is all the things that I see that I am not doing, comparing myself to what others are doing, seeing the areas where I have tripped or stumbled, and I fall victim to the whispering of Satan, who tells me to just give up, stop, and abandon the path of progression.  Have any of you been there?

As I read and pondered these verses over and over again this week, I found strength, encouragement, and power to keep moving forward.  I realized that, YES, He has not only outlined the plan for everyone, but He feels it is expedient to teach ME what I need to know.  The plan is individual.  My weaknesses are not your weaknesses.  My understandings are not always your understandings.  Our Father in Heaven knows this.  He know how we learn, what our weaknesses are, and if we are willing, He will expound our understanding and learning individually.

I hope you caught on to that last part.  IF we are WILLING.  The plan is not something that just unfolds before us.  It requires that we put forth some effort of our own.  We have to be WILLING to apply the things we are being taught.  Sometimes, we have to stretch a little.  Other times we have to repeat the process over and over until it became a part of who we are, what we are, and why we are.  Then there are times that the lights just come on and path is open before us.   These moments are rare, but often the most talked about and documented.  This week I realized that most of the time, those eye opening experiences are just the result of an accumulation of many little flickering of lights throughout my life.

I am so very grateful that He is WILLING to spend the time with and on me.  I am equally grateful for the loving angels who so patiently attempt to converse with me, share with me, and endure my stubbornness in learning.  I am grateful to be able to recognize His glory in the world around me.

I hope and pray that you are able to see it as well.

So, how has your week been?  I feel like I have been out of the loop this week.  I spent the week in the Windy City and have been away from all the action on the home front.

This is what has been shared with me:

The Queen felt like she was lazy and did not accomplish much, yet she has compiled lists of emergency planning, enlighten her mind through the written word, kept the house in order, and lived to tell about it.

The Professor continues to profess a boring and mundane life, yet she brightens our life's with the stories and adventures of her days.  She tracked off on Friday and is preparing for the next grand adventure.  We look forward to hearing of it.

Tall Man and Ehl-Bo are immersing themselves in their next performance and opening themselves for talent development with the next set design.  We look forward to hearing and seeing what comes of it.  We were hoping to here about Ehl-Bo's most recent callback to day, but it will wait for another update.

Puddin the week working through internal conflicts.  It sounds like he followed the promptings of above and was able to find some peace.  Peace that only comes from above.  He continues the hunt for the right mode of transportation, became an Aggie, and went off on his own adventure with Lady Hawkins and friends.  We are getting bits and pieces as his adventure unrolls.

We were excited to hear from Songbird this week.  I was disappointed that I was not able to participate in her invitation, but the ladies of the house represented.  It sounds like it was a fun filled evening of advancement, Medallion, Arrow, and addition to the Nest.  All were capped off with weaponry.  Songbird being the recipient of the largest from what I understand.

We enjoyed spending time with family from the North in the evening past.  Good food  was enjoyed with Great company.  It is always nice to catch up.
