Are We Listening?
Happy Pioneer Day! Yes, I know it is not today, but those of you who read this probably won't do so until tomorrow.
I hope you are all well. Some of you are off celebrating while the rest of us have to work.
I have had many thoughts with this week's pondering, but it kind of came together for me in priesthood meeting today. The verses of pondering thus week are from Alma 7:11-13.
I know that this is all about the Atoning act of our Savior Jesus Christ, but the words that have really stuck out to me are in verse 13, "...the Spirit knoweth all things..." I guess it has a great deal to the fact that many of the conference talks I have been studying are about the Holy Ghost.
He is a member of the Godhead. He sits in counsel with both God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. He is our direct conduit to our Father in Heaven. He shares with us His will.
Are we listening?
As He sits in counsel with the Savior, He understands our needs, our pain, our struggles. He knew us before mortality. He know who we are, what we are capable of, and reminds us of it.
Are we listening?
He can tells us how to help others, helps us see their potential, and know who they are.
Are we listening?
Elder Rasband's talk has really been on my mind. Are we serving? Are we sharing? Are we acting? Are we listening?
Yep, another week of random rambling. Hope you get something out of it.
It has been a week.
I will start off by repenting. Songbird did drop in for a visit a week ago. I blame the age of my mind on not mentioning last week. She is super busy. I think it is funny that she is looking forward to school starting so she can sleep in. Her summer has been filled with work, work, and more work. I guess there were several camps in the beginning, but mostly work.
Guess what, that is what the Queen and I did as well. Ok I guess we all have been doing it. Work is what we do. When the Queen has not been working this week, she has been doing alterations, planning parties, and changing Roxy's diapers. It has been fun.
The Professor has returned to the work force this week. It is stressful as she starts prepping a new room. The kiddos don't return until Wednesday. She hopes to be ready for them when they do.
Tall Man aged another year, as did one of the crazy Aunts up north. We really enjoyed spending the evening with him and Ehl-Bo. They are taking it one day at a time. They are working, working, and working some more-jobs galore.
Puddin is on the hunt. He is searching for everything from apartments to dress socks. It has been a busy week for him. Lady Hawkins and he are doing their best not to get over stressed about it. I have some great pictures of the shoe hunting.
That is our week. I hope those of you who are down south are staying safe, those of you to the north are recovering well, and those to the west are giving it your all.
