Preparing now for the Eternities
Hey Y'All,
It has been a long week. I feel like I started Monday running and am still going. This week had taken to on several adventures. I am glad to say that I have survived them all.
How has your week been? I have tried to keep in touch with as many of you as I could, but the time differences have made it challenging. A couple of days ago I had to ask one of you to remind me what day for the week it actually was.
What have you learned? Are you applying it? What have you not learned? Are you growing from it?
This week I have learned that a little kindness goes along way and just being present can sometimes go even further. I learned that we should not let others' judgements cloud our own. We need to look at with our own eyes.
I have also had a little time to absorb the teachings from conference weekend. I still have a great deal to absorb, ponder, and apply, but I have been able to start. I found it very interesting that my verses of ponder this week meld so well with the teachings of latter day prophets.
D&C 76:86-88 - We continue with those of the telestial kingdom. Though they inherit glory and more after suffering in the depths of hell, they do not receive HIS fullness in the eternal world. They will know of Him. They will honor and obey Him. Yet, they will not be comfortable living in His presence or carrying all that He wants to give them in it's fullness.
But is even more interesting to me is the way they will receive what they do receive. The Holy Ghost, the third member of the Godhead, will MINISTER unto them through those of the terrestrial kingdom. The terrestrial will receive what they receive through the MINISTRATION of the celestial kingdom. The eternities will be filled with MINISTERING. The works of all will be orchestrated through administering angels who are appointed to MINISTER for them, vicariously. They are appointed to be MINISTERING SPIRITS for them.
These recent changes are not just because the prophet and apostles wanted to change things up a bit. These changes are to help us better prepare for living a celestial law. From the beginning of time, our Father in Heaven has been trying to help us get closer to Him. He is has been trying to help us live as He lives. MINISTERING is just one small step.
So, what are you learning? What are you applying? What have you not learned? Are you growing from it?
It has given me much to think about. I have so much room for growth. I need to keep learning. I need to stop avoiding the MINISTERING of the Holy Ghost as He whispers to me.
Our week -
I have not really seen much of anyone this week. Like I said, I started the week running and am still going.
Monday was filled with meetings, meetings, and more meetings. Between meetings, I was trying to catch up on all the regular work that just kept flowing in.
Tuesday was spent flying from West to East.
Wednesday was meetings, meetings, and more meetings.
Thursday was catching up and filled with more meeting.
Friday we participated in a wonderful service project for St. Joseph Children's Hospital.
Saturday was another branch of the company picnic.
Today, after church, I flew north to then south and ended up in the middle.
The Queen worked most of the week and then started vacation. I hope to meet up with her soon. I understand she ran up to Logan this week and was able to catch up with some of you before she departed.
The Professor is doing her best to put the final touches on her thesis and prepare for the end of the term. It is all coming together. Then as soon as she has a break, she has been given a new challenge in the ward.
Tall Man and Ehl-Bo have been super busy from what I have gathered. Ehl-Bo is witching. Tall Man is trying to join her. I look forward to hearing about some of the adventures they have.
I have exchanged small texts with Puddin and Lady Hawkins. They are doing their best to juggle school work, jobs, and other responsibilities. They spend as much time together as they can, but sometimes feel like they are passing in the night.
SnackPack had an interesting week of learning. Then I understand that he pushed himself hard at the alumni swim meet. It has been over two years since he pushed that hard. Though he paid a price for it, he had fun. If he does it again, I think he should start warming up a few months before. Imagine what your times would be if you did.
Well, I know you are tired of hearing me ramble. Love you all.
