All in a Day

Happy Saturday!

It looks like we have come to the end of another week.  I hope you have all survived the adventures, the changes, the new routines that are being established in your life.  I encourage you to improve upon those routines to make them better.

It has been a busy week for me.  I have set some new goals and have been reminded that I need to set some more.  Change is hard.  Sometimes it is planned and sometimes it catches us off guard.  We grow as we learn from these changes instead of fighting them.  And this I know above and beyond anything else, as you learn to grow with these changes, they will eventually lead to more changes.  Focus on what you can do with these changes.  Pray for help with those things that seem impossible with these changes.

Any who, back to my week.  I have been on the road  this week.  It has not always been fun.  I missed important events and happenings.  I have tried to live vicariously through those who were present.  That being said, it does not mean that all have not been in my heart, mind, and prayers.

This week's verses of pondering Alma 34:32-33

"For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors."

"And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed."

Have you read or heard these words before?  How many  times?  What stands out as you read them this time?

As I have read and pondered these verses this week, there is something stand out in almost bold print before my eyes.  I have never read it in this context before.  "...the day of this life is the day...", "...for after this day of life,..."  Does it stand out to you now?

How may times in these two verses do we see the word day?  What is a day?  How fast does your day pass?  Are there days in eternity?  According to this verse, we have been given ONE DAY.  What changes have you made to improve TODAY?

What change in perspective does this give?  Life is precious.  Every single day of life is something that we should treasure.  How have we made every second, every minute, every hour of our day count for the value that is there?  What have we learned in "the day"?  What do we still have to learn?  How many more days to we have to keep learning in an eternal perspective?

I have pondered a great deal this week if I am making the most of my day.  What can I do to enhance the journey of this day.  How have I changed the balance of events in my eternal life, based on this day?  Is this the only day we have had that determines the path we will follow?  Did our brother Lucifer have a previous day where he chose a different path because of the actions and choices of that day?  If you think about it, because of that day, he is not experiencing "this day".  What are we willing to forfeit because of the choices we make TODAY.

Our week-

As I mentioned, I have been on the road all week.  While I have been away, the Queen has made the most of her time.  Her days have been long as she has tried to adjust to this new routine and change in our lives.  These changes have given her new opportunities to grow, but have also reduced opportunities at the same time.   She has been tried to make up for losses.  That has resulted in several super long days, walking or standing on her feet, something she has not been used to.  She is looking forward to the day her body catches up with the adjustment.

The Professor has been under a little stress.  She has had a week full of planning, building, compensating for others short comings and playing with legos, I guess she also got to play with Lego as well.  Her days have been long, but she has survived.

Tall Man, Ehl-Bo, and Lego have also been making adjustments.  School and work have been a juggling act, but they are pulling through.  We have enjoy the moments we have had with them.

Puddin and Lady Hawkins dropped in last weekend after I left.  It sounds like they are also making adjustments.  The new work hours and days off between school and life are being tossed like a green salad in their lives.  They are slowly making the adjustments and learning that sometimes sacrifices have to be made.

SnackPack caught a cold this week.  He has been pushing through.  He has been feeling the pull of setting goals and adjusting to the change.  It has added to his adventure.

We are grateful for the answers to prayers and blessings to family up north.  We continue to pray for them as they establish new routines and deal with the changes that were thrown at them this week.
