He Leads the Way
Heyo,
I am doing my best to catch up this evening. It has been a crazy week, as I am sure it has been for all of you as well. It seems that we get something new each and every day. I could never have imagined a time like this.
In the midst of it all, I have tried to keep up on each of my areas of reading, studying, and pondering. I have been filled with many thoughts and impressions through out it all this week. I must admit that at times, I have found myself doing more reading or even speed reading than I should. I have had to catch myself, stop, re-wind, and go back and really read for comprehension. I have had to slow down even more to justify it really being study. The pondering has come in many different fashions.
This the verses that I have designated as ponder are 2 Nephi 31:6-9
"And now, I would ask you, my beloved brethren, wherein the Lamb of God did fulfil all righteousness in being baptized by water?"
"Know ye not that he was holy? But notwithstanding he being holy, he showeth unto the children of men that, according to the flesh he humbleth himself before the Father, and witnesseth unto the Father that he would be obedient unto him in keeping his commandments."
"Wherefore, after he was baptized with water the Holy Ghost descended upon him in the form of a dove."
"And again, it showeth unto the children of men the straitness of the path, and the narrowness of the gate, by which they should enter, he having set the example before them."
There is a lot here to ponder and think about. I hope that each of you will take the time to find what the spirit impresses upon your mind. My heart has been touched with verse 7.
"...according to the flesh he humbleth himself before the Father..."
This statement has impressed upon me the human/mortalness of Jesus Christ. We often think that everything came easy to him because he was the "Only Begotten", but it wasn't. He had to tame the natural man just like we do. He understand us. He understands our struggles. Because he was the "Only Begotten", he had the capacity to understand/experience/comprehend all that we experience in mortality. I think this is very important to wrap our heads around.
He showed us the the way, but more importantly, he leads the way. Are we willing to follow?
Our week -
The Queen has undertaken several projects this week to fill the time when we are all busy at work. I wish I could say I have been just as productive when she goes out the door to work her shift.
The Professor returned to the Virtual classroom this week. It has been fun to see all the creative ways the attempts to make it as interesting and real for her kiddos as she can. At the end of the week, she made a new commitment. I will keep you updated on the progress of the commitment.
We heard exciting news from Tall Man. He was offered and accepted a new position within his company. It will be more responsibility of course, but more importantly open some new options for the family.
It was super fun to catch up with Ehl-Bo and Lego this weekend. That little man is growing.
Lady Hawkins takes her last final of the semester this coming week. We are praying all will go well. Puddin is still making adjustments to the new schedule, but doing well.
SnackPack is taking life one day at a time like the rest of us. We finally had the opportunity to get together as a pack to celebrate a couple birthdays this weekend. Glad he made it possible.
