Bringing the best you have

Well, here we are, a day late and a dollar short.  Better late than never is what I always say.

I hope this post finds you all healthy and well.

It has been a busy week that just appeared to fly by when I look back on it.  So much going on, so much I seem to be chasing after, but when I pause and reflect, I find myself having to repent and just count the many blessings that are being poured out upon me.  The Lord's had is truly in my life.  I regret not acknowledging him more.  I need to be better at repaying my debts.

But that is a different subject.  Let's talk about this weeks pondering: Moroni 6:1-4

"And now I speak concerning baptism.  Behold, elders, priest, and teachers were baptized; and they were not baptized save they brought forth fruit meet that they were worthy of it."

"Neither did they receive any unto baptism save they came forth with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, and witnessed unto the church that they truly repented of all their sins."

"And none were received unto baptism save they took upon them the name of Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end."

"And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith."

I love that this was my verse of study this week.  I believe I mentioned last week that we had a youth baptism in our ward.  This week we had two more.  It was such a blessing and privilege to preside over these saving ordinances.  But even more so was the abundant flowing of spirit that filled me as I attended and shared in these meetings.

Moroni speaks of coming forth fruit worthy of baptism.  As I pondered the messages of each meeting I attended this week, I could not help be reminded that each week we have the opportunity to renew this saving ordinance as we come to the Holy alter of the Sacrament.  We are able to bring our broken hearts and contrite spirits before the Lord as we prepare for and partake of the sacred emblems.

As a result, we are promised to "have his spirit to be with us".  In this process we are cleansed, nourished, and finished through the Atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  May we always present ourselves in such a manner each week.

Our week -

We were all back to the grind.  The Queen continues to juggle a huge load of projects.  Some come with challenges, but we were able to muddle through them, literally.

The Professor struggles finding the motivation to do her class work.  It is so much easier to bask in the sun or play with Gus-Gus, but she is doing it.

Lego and his parents have been busy.  We missed them this week, but hope to make up for it in the week to come.

Puddin is getting his butt kicked, but making the grade.  Lady Hawkins is waiting for formal certification/licensing so perform at a higher level.

SnackPack continues to jet between adventures.  We noticed his sun touched ears were peeling this weekend.  He is livin the dream.
