Have you Received?

Greetings to all -

Here we are, passing by another week of 2020.  It has been a scorcher here in our neck of the wood.  I hear others have been enduring summer thunder and even hurricanes.  I am not sure which is hardest to endure.

My week has been pretty mundane, work, sleep, work, sleep with a little food and water in the middles there.  I hope yours have been adventurous.

This week's pondering is from Acts 19:1-6

I am not going to type it all out this week, just the part of the verses that stood out to me.  So lets get some context.  Paul is in Corinth, a very Greek culture, his referred to as Apollos and Paul.  While there he finds others teaching to gospel and wanted to know their conversion story.

Verse 2 stands out to me.

"He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost."

Paul went on to confer the Holy Ghost upon them, after verifying their faithfulness.

How many of us say we believe today, but like these fellow Christians have not received, recognized, or even interacted with the Holy Ghost?  I have asked myself this question a great deal as of late.  I have found myself on my knees, seeking not only his counsel, but his confirming witness of those things that I am doing.  How about you?

I am so very grateful for those moments when I have felt his presence.  I have come to understand not only his power, but his role as a member of the Godhead.  He deserves and sometimes demands just as much respect and reverence as God the Father and Jesus Christ.  They are one.

Our week -

The Queen finished her last scheduled night shift of the bid last night.  It was a long day for her.  We are grateful to be able to have her available and around more.  She has continued progressing on little projects when she is home.

The Professor is feeling the pressure of a new school year.  She, like so many others, is going into it pretty much by the seat of her pants.  Just like everything else, this pandemic has opened new door to the unknown and we just have to take it one day at a time, remember that we are all in it together, and be forgiving as well as supportive.

We had the opportunity to spend the day with Lego this week.  He is growing at such a rapid pace.  Tall Man and Ehl-Bo continue to push forward with the rest of us, one day at a time.

Puddin found himself exposed and put on lock down this past week.  We are grateful that his results came back negative.  Lady Hawkins finish her last shift at the old place and started working the new.  There is still a great deal of training involved.  We look forward to hearing about her adventures.

SnackPack has started filling his spare time with new hobbies.  He dropped in this afternoon with a mixture of salt stains and dirt.  All signs of great adventures and memories.
