Looking to the Eternal that does not end

 Howdy Y'All -

I hope you have all been enjoying a wonderful Sabbath Day!  Mine has been busy, but well worth it.

Let's jump right into it.  Pondering comes from 3 Nephi 15:9

"Behold, I am the law, and the light.  Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live; for unto him that endureth to the end will I give eternal life."

It has been my priviledge over the past couple of weeks to meet with youth who are preparing for baptism.  I love hearing their simple and honest testimonies of truth.  As I have pondered this verse this week, I am reminded of those simple and honest truths.

Jesus Christ is the LAW.  He has established the path and steps that we must follow to return to the presence of not only our Father in Heaven, but our heavenly families as well.  We have the opportunity to continue building upon the wonderful relationships we had before mortality, those we have come to cherish in mortality, and more.  Often we think of our immediate family as those who we will be with, but I believe it goes well beyond that.  We have the opportunity for so much more.  However, the opportunity only comes if we as individuals are willing to covenant and then live according to those covenants.

As the LIGHT, he has not only given us way, but lights up the path when we are looking to him for it.  Note that there is a responsibility on our behalf.  We have to be looking, seeking, and be willing to follow that path.  If our line of vision is else where, we have no promise.

Another thought I have is the promise of the path.  We are asked to endure to the end of this path we are on.  Once there, we are taken to the next stage of a never ending, eternal path/life.  This indicates to me that the other paths we follow will eventually come to an end with no hopes of moving beyond that end.  Which are we choosing to follow?

Our week:

The Queen has been working long hours again this week.  I cherish all the moments we are able to be together.  It gets lonely when she is not her.

Yep, the Professor has gone back to the classroom, which makes it extra quiet around here with both of them gone.

Tall Man, Ehl-Bo, Lego, Puddin, SnackPack and I had the opportunity to spend the day together yesterday.  It was dirty, hot, labor intensive, but so much fun to just be together.  I know there are other things that each of them did during the week, but this was one of my highlights.  Thanks for spending time with me and making memories.

We missed the Queen, Professor, and Lady Hawkins.  We need to make some time to all get together soon.
