Always Learning from Him that Teacheth

Again we find ourselves at the end/beginning of another week.

Greetings to all - Oh how time seems to be flying.

This week will mark a year in my current stewardship.  It has been an interesting one, nothing like I expected it to be.  How fitting it is that I have the following verses to ponder this week:

2 Nephi 32:8-9

"And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing.  For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray."

"But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate they performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul."

Prayer is such an amazing blessing in this life.  I will admit that mine have not always been as they should be, but when they are, it is amazing.  I strive to make each of them fuller, deeper, more meaningful and complete.  In this past year, I have found myself falling to my knees for so many reasons.  I have learned to humbling seek not my will, but the will of the Lord as I attempt to consecrate my performances to him.

I have been blessed to have my eyes open to see as he sees.  I have been overwhelmed with gratitude when I am able to hear and feel the powerful words that come from his Holy Spirit.  I have been humbled to be taught the lessons I have needed to learn.

I hope that you too have been able to gain the same witness and testimony of prayer in your lives.

Our week -

It has been one.

The Queen seems to fill every waking moment with efforts to meet her goals.  We returned to the work place refreshed, yet missing the time we were able to spend together.  There were many times that we seemed to pass each other as we each moved from one task to the next.

I felt that it was the same this week with the Professor.  We passed each other at the breakfast table and again as she was coming home and I was leaving.  I have a feeling the week to come will be the same.

Tall Man has return to the books.  Together, Ehl-Bo, Lego, the Tall Man are attempting to adjust to new routines and work/school schedules.

Puddin continues his training as Lady Hawkins is learning to juggle the new school year with work.

SnackPack pushed through another week of challenges at work, but it sounds like things are recovering.

To all those who have suffered through the craziness of unusual winds and such this past week, we think of you often in our prayers.  In all aspects, we hope and pray for release from tempest the blew in with 2020.
