The Question Points to the Source
Heyo -
I was sitting here today thinking about the last time I posted. It has been a hot minute. I don't know that I have any excuses. Life has just gotten busy and I have let posting slide to the back of the priority list.
Shall we pick up where we left off? I believe we are still in Enos 1:7
"And I said: Lord, how is it done?"
This is a question that I have heard often as of late, but there are some key parts that are missing. Generally, the question does not start with "Lord", rather it starts with "I just don't see" or "I lay awake at night trying to understand".
But in this verse, Enos answers all those questions. He demonstrates the manner in which we should be approaching the question. He asked in wonder and awe. He recognized that the Lord is the only person that can answer the question. He didn't go searching the web or seeking answers from those who are not qualified to answer. He went to the source of truth.
In my current position, I have been asked this and similar questions with different context, but that can only be answered by the one true source. I have not had any issue answering that I don't know, but I do know who does. I know Him. I trust Him. I know that He will reveal the answer when I am ready and able to understand as He does. Until then, sometimes I just move forward on faith, hope, and strive to obtain charity.
This is the exact same answer that Enos received in verse 8:
"And He said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before He shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, they faith hath made thee whole."
This is were I focus my attention. Ever striving to build and strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ, our Father, and the Holy Ghost. I will endlessly hope for a better world through the ultimate atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is in this path of exercising faith that I find not only solace, but answers, line upon line, precept upon precept. Key word being Exercising faith.
Ok what has happened in the past month or so?
My hours have been restored to normal, but the Queen is still coming up short. Together, we have been striving to find a balance that is equitable and achievable. It requires sacrifice on all our parts, but one of my favorite parts of being her partners, together we will overcome and conquer. Finding balance and adjusting to the crazy routine that is always influx has been the adventure.
The Professor has survived another parent/teacher conference, having fluff removed, and adjustments to Governor Mandates.
Tall Man has been under the weather, but is on the mend. Work has had it's challenges, but he is taking it in stride. Ehl-Bo survived another Hallowed and Haunted season of witchery. Lego just continues growing like a weed.
Puddin has been assigned to a crew and is making adjustments to the new routine. Lady Hawkins is flying through another semester of online and hoping for more in-person soon.
SnackPack is loving his new toy. It has come in handy many times over the past several weeks. Work is busy and filled with opportunity to grow. He is taking advantage of it all.
