Kind of a Mess
The Sacrament quote of the day - "In reality, we are all messed up."
It has been one of those weeks. Don't we all have them?
So where do I start. I started my morning out with a visit to the doctor's office. As a result, I was scheduled for surgery before the end of the day to have a small plug, growth, mass or something removed. It was not how I or any of us in the family were planning on doing with our day, but it is what it is. Since then, we have not been called, so no news is good news, right? Unfortunately, it took most of the week for me to recover from such a small ordeal.
The Queen, spent her waking moments preparing for trek and then went on trek. The report, it was hot, it was hard, it was dirty, but well worth it. Ok, there was more to the report. I am grateful to hear her the strength given to her testimony through the experience.
The Professor (on vacation) went to work most of the week. Training on Monday. Team activity on Tuesday (at the school). More training and organizing on Wednesday. Sounds like a dandy vacation time. However, I think that is it for her until she goes back in August. She spent the rest of the week, chillin, reading, running, and such.
Tall Man worked several long and hard days. He gave an excellent report today in church. I hope that he will take the message he shared with us to heart and apply it to all that he does. Sometimes, that is the hardest part. I know I struggle with the counsel he shared. My pride gets in the way. Oh, on a side note, he also purchased a new mode of transportation. Still don't have a name for her, but we know her gender.
Puddin worked the first couple days of the week, prepared for trek, was asked by a humble father for a blessing (first one), and then went on trek where I understand he was called up several times. He shared some of those moments with his class today. I was edified.
SnakPack did about the same. He was reluctant, but willing to make the trek. I admire that in him. Reports I have heard were amazing. He learned, he helped, he grew. That is what it is all about.
Needless to say, all these events and more have put me in a reflective mood. I find myself on an emotional edge. I walk in awe at the miracles that continue to happen all around me. I count my blessings and recognize the hand of God in my life. I cannot begin to verbalize my gratitude and love.
I look forward to hearing from a few angels this week. Their works and efforts lift me. Thanks for sharing.
