Grateful to be able to have

Another week has come and gone.  It was a different kind of week.  If you were ask the family, they would say it was not the same as weeks or seasons past.  We learned from it.  Hopefully we will grow from it.

I hope that all of you are able to say the same of sorts.  I hope that the week has given you time of reflection and pondering.  I pray that each of you have taken a moment to share your gratitude in some shape or fashion.

I am grateful for the opportunity that I was given to reflect and ponder a little more as I was asked to speak in church today.  My mind has been full of many thoughts since then.  As I woke this morning, I don't know that all of my thoughts were clear and concise.  I just had a general idea and thought of the direction I should speak.  And that is what I did.

I am forever thankful that I live near several temples where I may go and be reminded of those things that I should be doing better.  I admire those who have the power and strength to live further away from these sacred places.   I hope and pray that their homes are filled with his loving spirit from day to day as they seek his grace and will.

As it has been a special week of holiday cheer, shortened work and school week, it has not been any less eventful.  The Queen, in her normal strides, has not missed a beat.  She has completed neighbor gifts and has them ready for delivery for the most part.  When not working, she occupies her time with the thoughts, actions, and desires for others.  Tis the season.

The Professor is super grateful that this week has come and gone.  She always gets a little tense and stressed about school programs.  That and the fact that it was a shortened week, so she had to complete in 3 days what she normally completes in 5.  She made it, most of her hair is still in tact and no teacher, parent, or student was sacrificed as a stress reliever.

Tall Man has had a week of ups and downs.  Work seems to be a place of good. He is working with good people and enjoying the opportunities and challenges that come with it.  His down side has been with his mode of transportation.  The ride is not riding smoothly.  We hope to be able to figure it out this week.  Our worry and concern is that it is not going to be an inexpensive process.  We are hoping for the best.  On a happy note, we have seen more of him because of it.  It has been good to catch up.

Puddin found moments of creation this week.  It was a short work week for him.  He has spent time with family, friends and the Lord.  He has also spent some time locked away in his room being creative.  It has been fun to see the juices flow.

SnackPack has done his best to keep busy.  The school week was short, but the homework load was not.  To make the rest of the week even more eventful, he allowed us to share the holiday with Kala.  It added some excitement to our household.  She is still a puppy, but is 15 times bigger than the other girls we have in our home.  They were none too impressed.  One spent most of her time in her kennel.  When Kala realized she was there, she would try and join her.  That was exciting.  The other one stayed as close to a human form as she could.  When Kala realized she was on a lap or resting in a cushion of the couch, she thought she had to do the same whether she fit or not.

We spent Thanksgiving afternoon with family and friends. It was different than we were used too.  We had it at our house and invited others to join us.  We were grateful to those who were brave enough to come.  It was good to visit, share, and expand.  Those of you were not brave enough or really had other commitments, we missed you.  We hope to see you soon.

You are all in our thoughts, our prayers, and desires.  Have great week.
