Time Traveling
Another week has come and gone. It seems that they just keep doing that. Sometimes they pass by quickly and other seem to drag on forever. I don't know which one you experienced this week. Mine just passed me by.
I cannot believe that tomorrow, I will be working joining the Queen and working from home. I have known it was going to happen since July, yet it came upon me much to suddenly. I will have to let you know how it goes and what kind of changes I need to make to survive.
On a Sunday note, we just came home from a wonder multi-stake fireside where we listened to the sounds of Vocal Point. It was an inspired meeting. They were given the topic of the Atonement from their director. Each member that was asked to share a message did so under the direction of the Holy Spirit. I was truly impressed and impressed upon by the Spirit. To summarize, the story of Christ visiting the Americas was shared. 3 Nephi 11:14-15...
Christ cried unto the multitude to come forth, one by one, and thrust their hands into his side and to feel prints in his hands and feet. Similarly, he calls unto us, one by one. He does not put us in groups and say, "Ok, all of you who have made this mistake or similar to it, come over and let me deal with you." He calls to us individually. He suffers for us individually. He knows of our weaknesses individually. He loves us as individuals, unconditionally.
It does not matter what kind of suffering we are experiencing whether it is not feeling good in the morning when we wake up, being depressed because we cannot forgive ourselves of past mistakes, or the actual acts of transgression. He takes them upon himself willingly. In essence, he has given us an empty box as a gift. On the box, it says "Fill and return to sender/giver." He wants us to fill the box with all our sorrows, sufferings, pains, and weakness. He wants us to give them to him that he may free us from our heavy burdens. This is the Atonement.
It was a great meeting. The spirit was shared through music and testimony. I am glad we all went.
As I mentioned earlier, we are now getting ready to work from home, together. The Queen's experience is slowly getting better. It is not perfect, but getting better. The tears are not flowing as often. I hope that having me here this week does not reverse the process or I will have to start looking for another place to work.
We did spend Friday evening with cherished friends as the last call was route to the office. The we closed it down, shared memories, shed some tears, and said our good-byes. We hope that we will meet again before long.
The Professor jumped back into the swing of things with full force. She is up early and home late. With her new calling, she gets to spend more evenings out doing more than usually, but she does it with enthusiasm and joy. It is fun to hear her stories.
Tall Man has completed training and is really loving his new job. He tried out for a show this week and continues to practice for Dicken's. Life seems to be treating him well. It was nice to spend some time with him on Saturday as we caught up on the adventures of his week.
Puddin is watching the weeks pass him by as well. I don't know if they are passing for him as quickly as they are for me, but they are moving at a rapid pace. There are days that seem to drag at work, but he is enduring. We just need to keep him healthy.
SnackPack is facing the same health challenges are Puddin. He keeps burning the candles at both ends. It is getting harder and harder to get up for early morning practices. He participated in Veteran's day performance this week. It was a small blessing in disguise for us. He was not at the school when they had a lock down. He may have thought it would be cool to be there, but it meant less stress for me when I found out he was OK.
I hope you are all saying warm, dry, and healthy. We think of and pray for you often.
