Greetings All!
What a wonderful Sabbath Day it has been! I have been lifted and edified. I hope the pattern continues.
Interestingly enough, things we talked about today in classes and things that I have been pondering are all very related. My verse of ponder this week was from 2 Nephi 2:27. We will get to in just a second. Sunday School lesson was all about Personal Revelation. Puddin shared a talk with me that was given to him while serving. It was a very powerful message about the Holy Ghost and how we sometime treat him as a second class member of the Godhead, when in fact He is a strong and active member of the Godhead, thus carrying the title of God. We have the opportunity to have His companionship with us at all time, in all places, and in all things. Today, I hope that we all renewed that covenant that we might have His Spirit to be with us. And finally, during Priesthood/Relief Society, we talk about the Soul of Man, both Body and Spirit, and how in today's world, we have been known to kind of do a Voldemort reenactment, by splitting ourselves through digital/social/technology. Sitting in one place, but being at work through email, with friends through texting, or hovering in a virtual reality by playing games or watching silly videos. Do we sacrifice meaningful relationships with our horcruxes?
So much to ponder, meditate, change, and implement in our lives.
How it is all related?
AGENCY!
Our Father in Heaven knew that through His plan, there would be chance that some of us would use our agency wisely and others would not. Yet it is His personal goal and work to help us choose wisely. He has provided every means for us to obtain all that He has. It all comes down to choice. 2 Nephi 2:27. Joshua 24:15.
This right to choose is a free gift. Because we have already made a choice at some point in our existence, we are born with this freedom to choose the will of God or not. Through this exercise we are promised blessings beyond our wildest imaginations, but choose we must.
I hope and pray that you will choose wisely. That you will understand that even if you don't choose wisely all the time, there is a way to change, correct our course of action, get back on track, be forgiven and redeemed of poor choices, and in the end, after we have done all that we can do, return to His presence.
Take some time to study, ponder, and pray about it. Evaluate those meaningful relationships you would like to develop and do what needs to be done to stop the horcruxes from being created with our bodies and spirit. Ask and ye shall receive, know, and it shall be opened, seek and ye shall find through the revelation and guidance of a divine member of the Godhead.
On with the week:
I have been busy learning new responsibilities. I had the opportunity to spend the day in Denver this week, sitting at the airport, and doing no more than sitting. It can be frustrating at times, but it is what it is.
The Queen just keeps doing. She has been prepping for more training classes, trained classes, finished most of the mantle, and is ready for the next project that she start researching just the other night.
The Professor enjoyed a lovely week of teaching, visiting, and playing. She found herself in a "Lock-Up" situation at the end of the week because her class fully participated in a school wide fund raising challenge. Probably not how she wanted to spend her Friday evening, but was okay with it none the less.
Tall Man just keeps plugging along. We had dinner up in that Farming Town to the north last weekend. He stopped by a few times during the week for supplies and a needed break.
Ehl-Bo started a new job this week, but we have not heard much of how it went. I will fill you in on the details when I have them.
Puddin is fully licensed and started working in the field this week with a mentor or two. He ended up working 6 of the 7 days and comes home exhausted. When he is not working or sleeping, he is spending his time talking to or being with Lady Hawkins. In fact, that is where he is now. She came down for the weekend so they could have dinner with some of her family.
Songbird dropped by for a visit this week. It sounds like she is busy, busy, busy. It was nice to catch up, make some commitments for Dinner Show, and share a meal with her.
Outside of the normal mundane routine, we were able to have dinner with WJ Hilltons on Friday and then celebrate Chinese New Year with the Binghams and family. It was an enjoyable evening developing our talents and sharing them with each other.
That is about it from me this week. How about you?
