Redemption, More Than Just Sin
I did it again, I let this late meeting time get the best of me. I can't explain it. I had the time, I just did not sit down and do it. As I crawled into bed, I remembered that I had not posted. So, here we go.
The past couple of weeks have been interesting. Because of different events, my pondering has been enhanced as I think of Alma 12:24-25. We have a couple families in our area who have been hit hard with some uber, faith testing, trials. They have been faced with some choices that must be made quickly. They have been give options that make it hard to seek the long term positive. I know that some of them are really having a hard time seeing the Lord in their circumstance right now. I can only imagine what they are going through.
Yet, it read these verses and realize that "The Plan" is all encompassing. It does not promise us warm, cheery days. It comes with good and bad. And it does not matter which end of the spectrum we are in, it is our hope and goal to choose to trust in His plan either way. Death is part of "The Plan". In fact, it is one of the major obstacles that Christ suffered and endured so much for. The Resurrection is one of the redemptive gifts He gives to us. Without His redemptive power, there would be no hope for life beyond our trials here on earth. There would be no reason to do our best, overcome the natural man, and repent. Life would just be a dead end experience.
I know that it is not a dead end experience. It is not easy, but there is a purpose. As these verses say, this is a time to prepare, to analyze, to change, to conform, to improve, to over come, to rise, to prove who we are, what we are, what we want, and who we want to become. That is "The Plan".
Our week has been a cycle of normal routine.
The Queen did quite a bit of training this week. Outside of work, we were busy doing different things. We did not end up doing visits together, but we did get them done.
The Professor is in prep mode. This coming week are PTCs. She has a great deal to do in preparation for them. It has been interesting to hear all of the little events that seem to be attempting to stop her from that preparation each day.
Tall Man did not have things go as he planned this week. But he was able to wrap it up with The Fantastik event. Always looking for the good, right!?
Ehl-Bo did the same this week, moving from one experience and preparing for the next.
Puddin had his own ups and downs. He is learning that eventually, time will catch up to us, grab hold, and slow us down.
We had the opportunity to visit Lady Hawkins on her turf this week. It was a wonderful way to spend the day of Love. I guess it was more an evening than a day, but it was fun none the less.
That is about it for now. Sorry I was late. I will get back to a routine soon
Cheerios.
