Manifestations of Faith
Happy Easter!
Yep, I lost my time piece. I am late, late, late. But it is better to be late than not at all.
So far, it has been a wonderful day. I was up early getting ready to attend a ward conference. I was up late watching the Jazz lose with intensity. That being said, I did not get up and make an entry this morning.
I hope your day has been blessed in many ways.
My mind is going several different directions this afternoon. Let's start with verses of ponder:
Ether 12:29-
"And I, Moroni, having heard these words, was comforted, and said: O Lord, thy righteous will be done, for I know that thou workest unto the children of men according to their faith;"
"For the brother of Jared said unto the mountain Zerin, Remove - and it was removed. And if he had not had faith, it would not have moved; wherefore thou workest after men have faith."
"For thus didst thou manifest thyself unto thy disciple; for after they had faith, and did speak in thy name, thou didst show thyself until them in great power."
I like Moroni, take comfort in the words of the Lord. I do not always understand how, when, or why, but I cannot deny the power of the witness I have received, in my heart, in my mind, and in my heart. That comfort brings Hope.
Today, I have Hope in His words and promise concerning the power of the Atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Hope, leads to my faith. Though it may be weak in somethings, it is strong in others. As I continue exercising that faith, it becomes stronger.
Now, where is the valley of Zerin? When did the brother of Jared have it moved? Where did he have it moved too? What it on the eastern or western hemisphere? Why did it need to be moved? It is clear that Moroni knew about it, but we do not have record of it. I must exercise Hope that one day I will have this record. I have faith that someday I will have as much faith as the brother of Jared.
These feelings. These small whisperings to my heart, mind, and soul are manifestations of my faith. It is through them that I know He Is Risen! He Is, that one day, I may be also.
Our week -
It has been kind of crazy around here. We are getting lots of moisture. It is happening all over the world. As I sit here typing, I am listening to the crazy thunder that cracking all around me and the patter of small rain drops on my roof, but that is just the weather.
Let me start with the Professor. Her district had a long weekend or Spring Break this week. She hopped a plane and went north to Cheese Country, though she did not eat any cheese, on Wednesday. She came home late yesterday afternoon. It sounds like she had a wonderful time catching up and spending time with friends.
Then SnackPack informed us that we probably would not see much of him this week. He had class on Tuesday and Thursday. We did watch a couple Jazz games together, so I would say we say more of him than he thought we would. One of his crazy adventures this week included a Marvel Movie Marathon. They started at 7ish on Thursday after class and we saw him on Friday around 10ish when he said he had to get some sleep. It sounded like it was fun, even if he did not make it through the entire marathon.
Ok, so that being said, the Queen and I have been empty nesting most of the week. Each night has brought a different adventure. Work was crazy, but the evenings were adventures. We saw lots of possible baskets. We walked under an ocean. We saw bears, moose, and sharks. We ate at a different time and location each night. It has been crazy.
Tall Man dropped in this week on his way to interviews. We continue to pray for successful outcomes there.
We talked to Lady Hawkins this week. It sounds like she and Puddin are busy, busy, busy. We understand they did a crazy fly by us this week without even honking the horn.
God Bless you all.
