The Meaning of it All

Happy day, happy day!
I hope you are all pumped for another day of Epiphany! Do you have your bread wreath? Who have you invited to the celebration? Which Magi do you hope to be?
Now that I have your blood pumping, let's talk about the true meaning of it all.
Alma 34:14
"And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law, every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice; and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal."
Short, simple, and to the point. What a wonderful message. Tomorrow, we will finish another season of celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Yet, it would be pointless if we did not also remember and celebrate the meaning and purpose of his life.
Amulek sums it up pretty good here. He came, a gift from our Eternal Father, that we might be saved from death and redeemed from sin. It was through his life example and ultimately his living sacrifice in our behalf that makes it all possible.
Let's not just spend one short season remembering him. Let's make that a daily event in our lives each day. Let's renew our commitment to him and with him on a weekly bases that we might have peace in this life and eternal life in the next.
Our week -
All has been pretty low key. I had a couple days off and did my best not to destroy the house. The Queen has been working on her nesting impulse. Then today, she headed out to the frigid air back east.
The Professor enjoyed every last minute of her winter recess that she could. I think she is still a little binge drunk.
We were hoping to catch up with Tall Man and Ehl-Bo this afternoon, but life happens. It sounds like Lego is teaching them about parenthood one drop at a time.
We continue to pray that Puddin will get a definitive answer soon so he can move on or try other things. Lady Hawkins is preparing to return to the classroom.
SnackPack had a busy week of ups and downs. He made the most of his days off and it sounds like he hit most of his objectives. Now he is starting the month and year with new ones.
