All Things Spiritual

Hip, Hip, Hoppity, Hop -

Here we are in another week, just a day late is all.

This week's verse of ponder has given me a different perspective as I have also been studying Section 29.

D&C 59:9

"And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself unspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon my holy day;"

One of the key verses of section 29 has resignated in my mind over and over again this past week, even this morning while studying Bishop Waddell's talk, I found myself going back to section 29:30-35, but more specifically verse 34:

"Wherefore, verily I say unto you that all things unto me are spiritual, and not at any time have I given unto you a law which was temporal; neither any man, nor the children of men; neither Adam, your father, whom I created."

All things point to the spiritual nature of us all.  All commandments are for the salvation of our spiritual soul.  All laws are spiritual.

Hence, reading and pondering the power, purpose, and influence of our sacraments upon His holy day have new meaning.

I love the promise and blessings that come before us.

So how do we do it.  Even the Queen and I have asked ourselves this question of late as work schedules at times require us to work on the Sabbath day in one form or another.  Yet we follow the lead of President Nelson, who also found himself in such circumstances.  It is not what we are doing but how we go about it.  We are do not actively seek things of entertainment, but holy enlightenment.  We can do this in many ways.  However, we should always make the time to prayerfully offer up our sacraments to that Lord.

What does that mean?  We need to spiritually covenant with the Lord to be better and do better in living His laws and commandments.  We do this before a holy alter, as we partake in the sacred ordinance of the Sacrament.

Our Week -

The Queen is making adjustments to a new routine, juggling ministering, and some family love time.  She is amazing.

The Professor survived another Parent Teach Conference and is now basking in the flow of Spring Break, but working at the same time.  She accepted a job offer and will start a new adventure next year.

Tall Man and Ehl-Bo have taken several leaps of faith this week.  It is not always easy to follow the spirit and strive to trust that it will all work out, but it has been great lessons in the Atonement of Jesus Christ applying to all aspects of our lives.

Puddin and Lady Hawkins are just trucking along.  School, Work, and a little bit of play.  They are doing their best to find balance.

SnackPack is doing the same, finding balance.  So much to do, so little time.
