Being the Light and Finding Joy in it

Hei, Hei,

Yep, the weeks just seem to zoom past me.  Either I am lazy or too busy.  I will you decide.  I know where my vote it.

March seems to be blowing right past us.  Today, we had the opportunity to attend Stake Conference.  I have been blessed to know that my pondering is in harmony with the messages that have been revealed to me the past two days.

2 Nephi 25:26(page 100)

"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."

I love this verse.  I do my best to live this verse.  I am elevated each time I do.

One of the many gems I was reminded of this weekend was from the following:

D&C 115:4-5

"For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."

"Verily, I say unto you all: Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations;"

We were then taken to:

3 Nephi 18:24.

"Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world.  Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up - that which ye have seen me do.  Behold ye see that I have prayed unto the Father, and ye all have witnessed."

They fall right in line with this concept of talking, rejoicing, preaching, prophesying, and writing.  Jesus Christ is my light.  He makes it possible for me to shine.  I pray that I may be worthy of holding Him to all those within my influence.

Our lives:

The Queen has returned to work with a clean bill of health.  There are still some challenges before us, but she is happy to be doing, and she is doing.  Maybe over doing, but that is how she rolls.   We were also excited to learn this past week that her will also be returned to full-time status.  It will be a new routine change, but we are happy to make the adjustment.

The Professor is prepping for parent-teacher conferences.  It is super time consuming and even more stressful.  She also stepped outside her box and interviewed for a different position.  We are looking forward to the opportunities it may bring.

Tall-Man has also started a new routine.  He served his notice over the last two weeks and is starting a new job tomorrow.  Ehl-Bo continues to find joy in raising Lego.  And Lego amazing us with his light each and every day.

Puddin continues pushing the grinding wheel.  Lady Hawkins is juggling her time in the ER, school, work.  We are counting down the days until graduation from nursing school and then she will jump right into her final two semesters of getting her B.S. in Nursing.

SnackPack completed another rotation around the Sun last week.  He does his best to make the most of each and ever revolution.  Work is good. School is good.  Life is good.
