Reading, Teaching, and Applying

Happy March - Crazy to think that we are now a year into first Covid-19 cases in many states.  I sat pondering where I was a year ago and how our plans seemed to be changing every day.  There were still so many unknowns.  And here we are a year later with a few more answers, but still many unknowns.   Where were you and what were you planning a year ago?

This week's pondering comes from 1 Nephi 19:22-23

"Now it came to pass that I, Nephi, did teach my brethren these things; and it came to pass that I did read many things to them, which were engraven upon the plates of brass, that they might know concerning the doings of the Lord in other lands, among people of old."

"And I did read many things unto them which were written in the books of Moses; but that I might more fully persuade them to believe in the Lord their Redeemer I did read unto them that which was written by the prophet Isaiah; for I did liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning."

As I read and ponder these words, I can totally bond with Nephi.  I can also find myself substituting my name in place of his.  I too find myself teaching my brethren, my children, my associates, and more about the things of Jesus Christ our Lord and Redeemer.  I pray that I might be an instrument in teaching, reading, or comparing something that will spark full persuasion to believe.  It is my hope that that belief will turn to action, just as Nephi hoped.

I have not had the clear visions, dreams, or even been carried away to a mountain top, but I am able to discern the paths that lay ahead if we do not heed the words of prophets past, present and future.  I strive to see the application of their words in my life on a daily basis.  I pray that you may do so as well.

Our Week -

The Queen and I have been on vacation this week.  We started at the Huntsman and received a little more direction about the future.  We are hopeful and blessed.  From there we spent our time together, helping family, de-cluttering, eating, creating, having adventures, and serving.  It has been enjoyable.

The Professor has been spending her time prepping for dose 2.  She has endured the weekend and only encountered minor effects.  Now she is ready to move forward.

Tall Man is excited about the prospects of learning new things as he has cleared all background checks and is not moving forward in job transition.  We had the opportunity to spend time with Lego and the fishes this week, while Ehl-Bo attended to Tall Man and a procedure he endured.

Puddin transitioned back to nights and Lady Hawkins started an new phase in her final days of nursing school.  We are excited to hear some of her adventures.

SnackPack traveled to the Mile High city and back.  School is flying by and he is adjusting to new and better routines to helping him keep accomplishing his goals.
