Busy Week to Review

Wow, where do I begin this week.  We have been going non-stop since the last review post.  I will see what I can do.

The Queen and I had a nice surprise this week.  The alarms went off at 430 am, but we did not have to get up, get dressed, and battle the morning chills of Spring.  We have a licensed driver who plays polo.  Sweet!

That being said, the Queen and I were both awake at 430 am, making sure that the two boys who had polo were getting up and going.  There were a couple morning that they did not have to get up early, so the battle became getting them up period.  I do believe there were multiple mornings where they were woken up before either of us went to work, but neither one of them made it to school on time.  Then the evenings were filled with many challenges that kept us up until the wee hours of the night.  I don't think there is a single individual in the house who would complain if we could just play hooky and sleep the day away.

Professor Mcgonogall had parent/teacher conferences this week.  That meant several hours of prep, late nights in conferences, and sleepless nights dreaming about said conferences.  There were a few challenges, but she pushed her way through the week.

Puddin was crazy busy.  I think that Monday was the day he did not have anything going on.  Tuesday was Festival.  It was at his school, but that did not mean he was given a break.  He didn't do as well as he would have liked, but he did contribute to the group.  He came home at 530 pm, changed clothes and headed to a polo game, first to observe, and then to play.  The game ended at 845 pm.  From there they piled into Elsa and headed to region playoff game that was supposed to start at 915 pm.  Yes, it was a very late night. All games were good.  Puddin endured to the end in each.  Polo was a Win.  Basketball was a loss.

Wednesday was Theater Festival, another late night.  He got home about 11 pm.  He took straight Superiors and will be going on to State.  (Side note, State theater is the same day as Battle of the Bands State, two different schools).

Thursday was another crazy day.  Polo tournament started in So. Davis. The game was at 525 pm and then they stayed to support the girls.  Dinner afterwards and another late night.

Friday was supposed to be a night off, but free time meant good time for a date, so off he went.

Saturday was polo in Davis.  They had two games and support for the girls.  It was a long day.  Once he was home, he was able to relax before going to a ward social and then on to a team social.  Another long night.  I don't know when he will catch up on sleep.

Snack Pack kept himself busy as well.  There were mornings this week that he would get up, get dressed, and then fall asleep on the couch waiting for a ride to school.  Problem was that his ride was also having a hard time getting up, getting dressed, and keeping his eyes open.

Monday night was a great time to spend time together as a family.  We had some dinner and then play some games for FHE.

Tuesday was a big day for Snack Pack.  He skipped work and was taken to the DMV.  The Queen got off early to accommodate him.  It was a rough go.  He told me that the next available appointment will be in 3 weeks.  That is a long time to wait.  He was very concerned that since he got his permit on his birthday last year, that it would now expire and he would have to re-apply for the permit, wait 6 months, and then schedule the appointment.  Even longer to wait.  It is a good thing he passed.

He dropped the Queen off and headed out on his own.  He grabbed a bite to eat before heading to the Polo games.  It was a good game.  They won by leaps and bounds.  I appreciate the coach taking out all the starters and letting second string finish up the game.  From there we were all on the way to the Region Game.  Snack Pack was true to his word.  If it started getting out of hand, he was going to walk out.  There were several fouls that were not called and a great deal of dirty play happening on the floor.  Somewhere around the middle of the third quarter, he recognized his limits and asked to be removed from the game.  The referee was not happy with is choice, but the coach told him to back off and let it go.  It was not a good way to end the season.

Wednesday was busy with work and then mutual.  It is not where he wanted to be, but he pushed through.  I was impressed with the way he handled himself.  We were all able to accomplish a great deal.

Thursday was a game at So. Davis.  They won.  That made them even with last season.  They only won two games, so this was a good way to start the season.

Friday was a night off, so he went to Dance Co. performance.  He drove himself.  Side Kick drove Puddin on their date.  They are sharing their time with Elsa.  It is great the way they are communicating with each other and making it work.

Saturday was more games in So. Davis.   They Won one and Lost one.  That makes this season better than last season.  They are starting to come together as a team.  Since it was in So. Davis, several of the Northern Clan joined us to watch the game.  It was a good day.

Hope your week has been just as productive.
