Week in Review

I want to start the review off by reminding all of the email followers that sometimes, the video clips that are posted have to be viewed from the actual blog site.  Take a moment to check it out. www.cow314.blogspot.com.   Hope you are able to enjoy the posts in their completeness.

It has been a full and eventful week  I could go back and look at the calendar to do a minute by minute replay, but we don't have that kind of time.

The Queen spent the first few days of the week feeling like there was a ticking time bomb growing in her head.  She did her best to muddle through Monday, but after that spent several days bouncing back and forth between ice packs, frozen vegetables, warm water, face masks, and peppermint.  By Thursday, she was almost back to functioning.  She amazes me even when she is in this incapacitated state.

Once she was functioning, she turned her focus back to her mixer.  All the parts arrived earlier in the week and it was time to re-assemble.  Again she amazes me.  I don't know why, but when all was said and done, she could not get the final pin to return to it rightful state and we ended up have to bury the beast.  We are excited to try the new one.  It has been challenging around out house to find treats for FHE that don't require a mixer.

Professor Mcgonagall was able to prove again this week that boys are dumb, at least the ones who ask her out.  Some day she will meet a smart man.  In that proof of concept, boys are dumb, she continued the age old battle people seem to have that teachers have the easiest job in the world.  Isn't it true teachers lesson plans are handed to them each day.  That students behave perfectly and allow the teacher to cover exactly what was handed to them.  Then each day the grading fairies come into the classroom, probably with the cleaners, and grade, record, and email reports to the students parents telling them what wonderful angels they are to have in the classroom.  Hence, they are probably right, the professor should be able to go to school at the same time as the students and walk out the door with them at the end of the day.

On a positive note, her anxiety over Hagrid, the fish, is lessening and he is still alive.

Puddin had a rough week.  His sidekick's grandfather passed away suddenly last week and he had been trying to juggle his time between all other events in his life.  School is crazy.  The band needs to practice for regions.  Polo is in full force.  Closing night was on Monday.  Drivers Ed. is almost done.  Running between viewings, polo games, and funerals, takes up a great deal of time.  We think he has survived.  We will see what this week will bring.

Snack Pack just goes with the flow.  Rain fall in the area has caused some problems with his driving schedule.  We were very concerned about the possibility on Thursday, but he made it. It was a boring drive, but done. He did another on after the polo game on Saturday and only has one more to complete before officially taking the test on his birthday.  If the stars align properly, he and Puddin will get their licenses on the same day and also be able to participate in polo game.  Life is very full.  He spent the day fund raising for tour, if tour happens.

Suddenly I question, what happened to the monies that were raised last year for the tour that did not happen?  I know they did the fund raising, but nothing came of it.  We have received notice about certifications and interviews for summer jobs this week.  Snack Pack is going forward, but Puddin is still undecided.  He wants a job that pays better and guarantees the hours so he can prepare to leave at the end of the summer.

Hope this brings you up to date.  The area continues to evolve and change.  We learned that the Party of 12 are moving next month.  Obviously there is mixed emotion within the boundaries of our abode.

Have a great week.
