Week of Up in the Air stuff

It has been another week.  The days just keep coming and going.  I keep waking up and going to bed.  I would say that is a good thing.

Today was a good day.  We were able to conference Elder G in with us and speak to each other from all parts of the world.  It was not what we intended it to be, but it was good.  I am blessed to live in world where it is possible.  When I was out, I had to find someone who had  a phone in their home and then call collect to visit with the family.  But today, we found ourselves in an interesting challenge.

The Queen has been in Monterrey all week and was planning on flying home on Saturday to be witness Puddin and his prom date, be home to get a call from Elder G, and then fly back to Monterrey at Noon on Sunday.  Friday evening, we received notice that the flight the Queen was planning on for transportation was cancelled.  The only other options available to her, due to challenging weather in the Mid-west, would have dropped her off around 8 p.m.  It was not worth the trip.  So, she hunkered in and spent the weekend in her hotel.  That all being said, Saturday night, Puddin and his side kick made time in their busy day to do a little video conference with the Queen.  She was able to see them all dressed up and ready for a night on the town.  Today, Elder G called home, we hooked him up on the computer and ended up conferencing all three locations over the Internet.  The Queen in Mexico, Elder G in Buffalo Grove, and us at home.  It was good to hear his voice and just talk about life.  We hope to see the Queen home next weekend.  She will spend another week basking in the sun.

The Professor made her way back to school this week and started a new workout.  It is called "Barre"  She has discovered muscles she did not know she had.  She has learned how to open her sweat glands and as Elder G would say, "Just let it flow."

Just when I thought things were going to slow down for Puddin, he started full on training for his job this summer.  He will be back at the pool and seems to have spent almost every night training and getting re-certified for guard.  He spent the weekend doing Prom stuff and had a wonderful time last night.  I will see if I can load a picture.

SnackPack has tried to wind down as well, but is not succeeding very well.  I don't think I have seen him home but once this week.  He is supporting the JV team, girls team, training for his pool job, or hanging out with friends.  He did not go to the Prom, but he did have a night out on the town.

It has been a week.  Sometimes I feel like I cook for just the Professor and me, and that is only on the nights she does not have Barre.  I have also found myself filling my time with work, more work, and calling stuff.

This afternoon, as I sat on the stand and looked out at our congregation, I found myself missing the Queen.  I have a new admiration for single parents.  It is not always fun.  I already know that I would not be able to do what I do in life without the Queen by my side.  She makes it possible for me to do so much.  I am truly grateful for her support.  I hope she knows how much she completes my life.

Have a great week!
