Nutshell

We had snow!  Some of us think that is an OK thing, some of us think it is from Satan.  In fact, that is what I listened to all the way to church this morning.  "On the second day of Christmas, Satan made it snow."   I guess it does not matter now, since it is gone now and was before church was over.  SnackPack was upset that he had to scrape Elsa's windows this morning before heading off to ta performance and Tall Man was frustrated that we seem to have lost or misplaced the scraper that was in his old car before he left on his mission.   I think that scrapers are like socks going into the dryer.  They seem to vanish between seasons.

Weather patterns for the next 10 days calls for cold temps, but no moisture until Saturday.  Who knows if we will have a white Christmas.  Someone posted on social media the other day that it was so warm, they had to roll down their window on they way to work the other day.  I have seen people with their convertibles down.  Should we start taking bets.   White Christmas - Yes - No.  Snow on the last day of school. - Yes - No.

It has been another one of those crazy weeks.  We are all running in several different directions.  I have had meetings all week that not only got me out of the house, but I ended up being the designated driver for folks from out of town.  It wasn't as bad as it sounds.  I actually enjoyed spending time with people I may not get to see or associate with for a long while.

The Queen is in Holiday Mode.  Not that it that much different from every other crazy week she has, but it seems to be a little more hectic right now.  She gets up early for different training assignments, stays up late working on gift projects, and then does her best to stay awake in the middle of the afternoon.  As soon as the sunsets, we have to keep dowsing her with water and ice to keep her awake.

This week was particularly crazy as she was putting a project for her Young Women.  It has to be done by yesterday, as the project was themed around the 12 Days of Christmas.  I don't know how she does it.  I jumped in and helped when I could, but she burned much more midnight oil than I did.

The Professor is plugging along.  She just came to me a few seconds ago completely overwhelmed.  The Lord recognizes her abilities, put her in as a counselor for a couple weeks and has now called her to be president.  We all know she is capable, but that does not make it any less overwhelming.  I am glad she knows how to delegate.  Now she will learn about putting faith in that delegation.

Tall Man is taking a breath of relief.  Dickens is over.  This week has been long and hard.  We had the opportunity to see him on Friday night.  It was fun.  They did a good job.  It also gave us a good excuse to get together as a family, well most of the family.  We missed SnackPack and a couple other cousins from the north.

On the work front, he is also impressing his bosses.  He has been promoted to a day shift with more money in the pay check.  He is excited to see what comes next

Puddin continues to clear each hurdle thrown his way.  Work, health, mental, emotional, transportation or what not, he just keeps plugging along.  We are now within the 30 day mark.  We just finished some paper work to send to the TMM.  Guess what kind of Christmas shopping we have been doing for him?  We just keep getting more and more information about what we need to have for him.  Bike, 72 hour kit, satchel, etc...

One of the hurdles that was not so much fun this week was when he was attending a temple wedding in Ogden.  He has stopped to have lunch on the way home and Bubbles died.  It was raining, the sun was setting, and he was 50 miles north of us.  He called family that was close by, they came to the rescue, but added a little more stress.  He was towed for the first time, in the rain, in the dark, and he had to roll down the windows so he could see.  It was not a fun adventure.  We will have more to tell next week after Woody has a look see.

SnackPack continues to be in heavy performance mode.  When he does not have a performance, he is at work, in school, doing homework, swimming, or running with friends.  He says "Hey" before leaving for school and when he comes home at the end of the day.  If he sits for any length of time, he is asleep.  It is starting to show physically.  He does what he can to hold the food down and just keep plugging along.

There you are, the nuts in a shell.  Hope you all stay warm and dry.
