The weather outside is...
Well folks, it happened, we got RAIN. Yep, lots of it. We actually had to turn on our windshield wipers this morning on the way to church. It rained the entire time we were in Sacrament meeting. Now it is just damp and cold. Rumor has it that it will turn to white frosty flakes on Thursday. We will see. Puddin is still counting on it being just RAIN. The rest of us have mixed emotions as this year's neighbor gift was a bucket of ice melt. No promises that we will have to use it this year. I guess SnackPack is ok with it as well. The longer we have weather like this the faster they will be able to complete the Taco Bell and Arby's on the corner. He is already keeping the Little Caesar's fully functional and making sure they have enough to pay for rent.
It has been a good week. We are full blown choir season. At least that is what we are told. I have a feeling that Mr. Moore is slowing down. It just does not feel like SnackPack has been gone as much this year as he was last or even close to the number of performances that the rest of the kids performed. It is not a bad thing, but it just feel weird.
The Queen has been a busy bee all week long. I have to remind her that her shift if over and that she can sign out of the computer. She has had training classes almost every day. When she is not training she has been scheduling and if that does not pan out, then she gets on the phone and talks to people.
When I finally convince her to shut down the computer, she locks herself up in the craft room and works on projects. I have tried to help when I can, but I just run out of energy before she does. I think it is finally catching up to her as she has a horrid cold that has dropped to her chest and turned into a cough. She meets her goals though. We have taken care of the family in distant lands, the young women, the neighbors, and now we are working on those that are close by.
The Professor doing her best to fall into her new calling. It has been a little overwhelming, but she is going to do just fine. It looks like she has some good help, at least the ones we met today. I guess we will meet the rest on Saturday when they come to the house for a meeting. She still has a couple days left of school for some reason. She does not like it when the other districts do things differently.
Tall Man continues to keep himself busy even though his performances are over. Work is good, he also has to work several days this week and then into the weekend. But he likes it so that is good. He has put in for a couple new lead positions. We hope that they will consider him. We know he has not been there the full 90 days, but at least they know he is interested.
Puddin is just riding the waves. It is official, we had to say good bye to Bubbles this week. It is working out. I get up and take him to work and the Queen and I do our best to pick him up when his work day is over. Sometimes we are late and most of the time he has to endure our errands on the way home, bu the has been a good sport. We do what has to be done. He will just have to take the van next week when the Queen and I go back to work.
Like I mentioned, SnackPack is in full on performances. When he is not singing, he is passing out, throwing up, swimming or sleeping. It has been a weird season for choir. This is the first time in all the years that we have gone to performances that we have seen people faint. We are understanding that it is happening a great deal this year. Everyone is doing their best to stay healthy and keep enough food in their stomachs to say standing. It should start to wind down this week and they can catch up on rest during the break.
We hope that you all have a Merry Christmas! You are in our thoughts and prayers.
