Come Forth

Hey, Hey, it has been a busy week.  I don't know what happened everyday of the week in this part of the world, but I was busy for me.  Hang on, I will catch you up in a few.

First, let's ponder.  My verses are found in Alma 34:31-32.

Take a gander at them.

First - "...come forth and harden not your hearts any longer;..."  There are a couple things here  that stand out to me as I have pondered the.  One - we are asked to come forth.  This indicates that effort is required.  We need to be doing something.  Just because we are not committing any major sin, it does not mean that all things will just fall into place.  We are required to do something.  Two - what are we supposed to do?  Stop hardening our hearts.  Or if you look at the footnotes, this denotes self-mastery.  Doing requires that we discipline ourselves.  We don't move toward life eternal without doing something.  Sometimes doing things is hard.  It is easy to convince ourselves to not do stuff.  We have to hold ourselves accountable for that which we want most.

Second - "...now is the time and day of your salvation;..."  When should we start?  NOW!  This does not mean that we will become perfect overnight.  It just means that we need to be doing something, all the time.  We should take it one change at a time.  When we feel comfortable with one area of self-mastery, we move on to the next, while continuing to maintain that which we have accomplished.

Third - "...immediately shall the great plan of redemption be brought about unto you..." The blessings will be given IMMEDIATELY.  We don't have to wait.  The Lord will reward us for each positive change/repentance we make.

What an amazing reveal.  Take that moment, review, ponder, change.  You can do it!

There you go, short and sweet.

Now on to the week.

I jumped on an aeroplane early Monday morning and spent most of the week in the Windy City.  It was nice.  I thought we were going to get some rain, but it held out until we left.

It was a busy week.  Last Saturday, I was informed that one of my team member's father had passed away.  I thought I had everything figured out with arrangements by Monday evening, then Tuesday morning, I was informed that another team member had passed away while on a three week cruise in the Mediterranean.  They were celebrating a milestone birthday.  That really hit my team hard.  It was all topped off Wednesday, when I learned that another team member's fiancee has passed way Tuesday evening.  WHAT?  How much can we handle?  It has really brought some perspective to what matters in this world.

Though I was dealing with lots of turmoil through out the week, it was a good week of meetings.  I learned a great deal and was reminded of even more.  I hope to start applying them.  One change at a time.

While I was gone, the Queen continued doing a great deal of Spring Cleaning.  She amazes me.

The Professor is wrapping up testing and getting ready to choose classes for the grad studies.

Tall Man and Ehl-Bo wrapped up another great performance.  We have to start planning better.  It seems that all of their shows are selling out.  We just are not good at purchasing tickets in advance.  They are both adapting to their new jobs and progressing forward.

Puddin is enduring the time he has where he is at.  He did some testing for admissions to school and looks forward to registering soon.

Lady Hawkins is entering finals week.  She hopes to have everything wrapped up be moved home by the end of the week.  Then it will be on to a long summer of work.

We caught up with Song Bird.  She has been busy as well.  School is wrapping up, but she found out that she was elected as Senior Class Secretary.  She is excited to see what it brings.  We also learned the Polo15's side kick will be the Senior Historian.

Polo15 is getting his hair cut.  We had a chance to visit with him this week. He shared a great testimony at his mission meeting.  We are excited to see him grow and learn over the next few years.

That is our week in a nutshell.  I am sure there is much more that happened, but that is what comes to mind.

Until next week...
