Sun, Moon, Water, and Earth...it all has a place

Greetings -

Yep, another week has come and gone.  I know it started last week, but somewhere in the middle of this week, I realized it is April.  The first 4th of the year has come and gone.

It has been a good week.  My verse of pondering has been Ecclesiastes 12:7.  This is a different kind of message.  I don't know that my thoughts have been on the exact message of this verse of scriptures, but it did kind of come together for me today in Sunday School.

All week long I have been preparing for a lesson on The Creation.  I have read, and re-read the different accounts of the creation from Genesis, Moses, and Abraham several times.   I have thought a great deal about it all.  Things that stick out:

Firmament/Expanse
Light was divided from Darkness before there was a Sun or Moon
Seeds were planted before Sun and Moon were created
Day 5 - living creatures and fowls of the air were brought forth from the waters
Day 6 - living creatures were brought forth from the earth, then man was created from the earth and spirit was put into man

This all comes back to my verse of pondering.  I would encourage you to do study them.  It is amazing.  In the end, one thought that has really hit me hard.  When you turn on the light, darkness leaves.  When you turn off the light, darkness returns.  We talk about light and darkness all the time.  But they were divided.  They have remained divided.  They follow the laws and commandments of God.  In fact, everything that was created/organized, water, dry land, firmament, sun, moon, stars, creatures of the water, fowls of the air, creatures of the earth, follow, live, keep, and obey the laws and commandments of God.  I am impressed to believe that they were also part of this probationary state.

Then what of man?  How are we doing?  It all comes down to that question.  Are we as obedient as all of God's other creations?  I am working on it.  What about you?

Just some thoughts rattling in my head.

This week has been good.

The Queen spent a short period of time basking in the balmy winter weather of Illinois.  Some of the folks out there have blamed the snow they received last week on her, as she has declared that it always snows when she goes there.

The Professor had a full week of Spring Break.  If you ask her, she did not have a break.  I rarely saw her come out of the basement this week.  She had two very long chapters to research, formulate, type, and turn in this week.  It has been mentally, emotionally, and physically draining on her.

We saw Tall Man and Ehl-Bo once or twice this week.  It sounded like it had been a good week for them as well.  Then the weekend hit and they acquired a stomach bug of some sort.  We hope they recover soon.

Puddin and Lady Hawkins came down for the weekend to join us as we supported one of the B boys' baptism.  They hung with friends and then crashed at our house last night.  It was good to catch up with them.  The end of the semester is quickly upon them both.  It is mentally, emotionally, and physically draining.  They have learned new lessons this semester.

Yes we were able to gather with family yesterday.  It was a wonderful gathering.  I realized that it has really been too long since our last gathering.  It was really good to see those who we have not seen for a long time and catch up with those with whom our interaction has been more recent.  Life is good.

As always, I just sat in a chair.

Love you all!
