A little late

I know it is not Sunday, but I was a little distracted for some reason this weekend.  I was focusing on other things and just ran out of time.  If I had forced myself to stay up and blog, I am afraid it would not have made much sense.  Well, I don't know that any of these make sense, but at least they are flowing from my head and hands a little more coherently.

It was a good week.  I have continued my study and pondering of Section 76.  Last week my verses of pondering were 6-9.  I thought it was interesting that as I pondered these words, I kept thinking about who they were referring to and how can I qualify to be one of them.

"Great shall be their reward and eternal shall be their glory..."

"...I will reveal all mysteries, all the hidden mysteries of my kingdom..."

"...will make known unto them the good pleasure of my will..."

"...the wonders of eternity shall they know..."

"...their wisdom shall be great, and their understanding reach the heaven;..."

Can you imagine?  How many of you desire as I desire?  How many of us seek the mysteries?  How many seek reward?  How many of us understand the Good Pleasure of His will?  How many of us find joy in the wonders of this world and only imagine the wonders of others?  What about great wisdom?

I hope I am not alone.

As I pondered these things I was reminded of so much that I already have.

Last week I participated in a baptismal service.  At one point, the person giving instruction on baptism asked the baptismal candidate if he understood or knew what the for basic principles or laws of the gospel we need to follow to qualify for baptism.  As he hesitated, I was instructed for a source that I did not expect, but one that I have been instructed from before.  In fact, I was reminded how much I miss that instruction.

Without hesitation, my dear Mother shouted out "Faith, Repentance,..." then realized that the question was probably not for her an stopped.  But the question was for her.  It was for all of us.  In that moment, I saw part of her reward and her eternal glory.  Though my elder who struggles with the challenges of mortality, in that moment, she was "child like".  Exactly as the Savior tells us to be.  She bore testimony to me of what she knows to be true and will never forget.

I will forever be grateful for that moment of testimony and witness.

I will admit my pondering has carried over a bit into this week.  As I pondered the rest of these words.  I learned through my other study that Section 76 is a section that contains glorious truths that were lost to the world hundreds of year ago. "Mysteries"

As I talked with SnackPack this week we both lamented about how much more we want to be able to do, but seem to get shut down, rejected, or sometimes listen to the adversary who tells us it won't work.  Then the past two days I have been studying to Elder Ballard's words from conference.

How do we know the "good pleasure" of His will?  We honor the Sabbath, we partake of the sacrament with real intent, we serve others, which comes in so many formats, and we look to follow Christ.  As I have pondered his words and thought about my conversations. I am reminded that we must move forward with FAITH of a mustard seed.  We need to prepare ourselves to receive guidance, ask, listen, record, and act.  We must act even if it gets shut down or rejected.  We need to prove to ourselves and the Lord that we are willing to ignore the adversary.

Who was it in the last session of conference, October 2017, that referred to "being slothful" was not talking about receiving revelation in our individual stewardship, but rather instructing those who were waiting for other leaders to tell them how to serve, where to serve, and when to serve.  When if fact, they had been trusted and given the ability to receive personal revelation "in all things" pertaining to their lives as to where, how, and when they should serve.  We can do the same.  We just have to have the courage to follow through.

I think that is enough to chew on for right now.  Hope your week is great!

The Queen continues to roll on the road.  She is makes it home most weeks in time for church, to wash her clothes, grab a bite or two, and then heads back out for more adventure.

The Professor is in full on Spring mode.  She came home from work this week with a little color.  She has been spending a great deal of time outside entertaining the kiddos.

Tall Man and Ehl-Bo have successfully started another performance.  We had the opportunity to see them as opposite leads.  It was fun.  Outside of rehearsals and performances, they are working diligently.  Ehl-Bo is preparing for a jewelry show here in couple weeks.

Puddin and Lady Hawkins have completed another year of schooling.  It has been a learning and growing experience for both of them.  They had a short weekend off and now are starting Summer semester.  Puddin would like to find a full-time job in the Cache County if anyone knows of anything.
