Consistency

It has been another week for the history books.  Are you documenting your involvement in craziness?  How is it effecting you? Your family?  Your work?  Your perspective on life and the world around you?  How are you dealing with the highs and lows of it all?

I invite you to take some time to record, document, ponder, and reflect.  You will be amazed how powerfully healing it is, not only for you, but someday for others.

My week has been filled with the same ups and downs.  I am used to the isolation of being home bound, but it has been a new experience for several family members.  We are doing our best to make it through this together.  That is all we can do.

Work seems to be changing on an hourly basis.  There still remains a great deal of uncertainty.

This week's verses of pondering have kind of melded into chapters of my personal study this week:

3 Nephi 11:23-27

"Verily I say unto you, that whoso repenteth of his sins through your words, and desireth to be baptized in my name, on this wise shall ye baptize them - Behold, ye shall go down and stand in the water, and in my name shall ye baptize them."

"And now behold, these are the words which ye shall say, calling them by name, saying:"

"Having authority give me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen."

"And then shall ye immerse them in the water, and come forth again out of the water."

"And after this manner shall ye baptize in my name; for behold, verily I say unto you, that the Father and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one; and I am in the Father, and the Father in me, and the Father and I are one."

There is sometimes question as to why Jesus was instructing the newly chosen 12 in this manner of baptism.  Was it different from the process they had been baptizing?  Why do you think there were questions then?

Jesus Christ, was basically confirming that baptism was not something that was going away like the Law of Moses.  He was establishing again with the people, that he had the authority and was giving it anew to stand with the laws that were fulfilled and would be followed going forward.

So, there is that, but the part that has stood out to me this week as I have thought about these verses and the teachings that followed is about being ONE.  Are we filled with the spirit of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost on a regular basis?  Are we singular in our desires, our choices, our lives and more that unify us with them?

Isn't this the ultimate goal?  I love reading on through the subsequent chapters and being reminded of how consistent the gospel/doctrine of Jesus Christ is.

Our week -

The Queen is doing her best to adjust to the reduced hours, getting up super early, and trying to compensate for the payroll reduction.  She tried something new this week and worked for Amazon.  It seems like a pretty good gig, when she can get a shift.

The Professor has been extended until 1MAY.  She has learned from this experiences and quickly made some adjustments.

Tall Man, Ehl-Bo and Lego seem to be doing well.  They are plugging along, one day at a time.

Puddin and Lady Hawkins are adjusting to living with us.  I am sure it is stressful for them.

SnackPack is hating the social distancing, but understands it.  We are all taking it one day at a time.
