Delay No More

Greetings All -

I must admit, I was lazy yesterday and did not take time to update my post.  I was distracted by having the Queen back home, a young men's hike, and just plain being tired.  But, here I am ready for a post.

Pondering Alma 34:36-37

"And this I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in unholy temples, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell; yea, and he has also said that the righteous shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out; but their garments should be made white through the blood of the Lamb."

"And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that ye should remember these things, and that ye should work out your salvation with fear before God, and that ye should no more deny the coming of Christ;"

As Amulek finishes his discourse, he shares his testimony.  What do you feel as you read his words?  Does it give you hope?

In verse 37, many get hung up "...ye should work out your salvation with fear before God,...".  The adversary has done a wonderful job of helping us misunderstand or misinterpret the word FEAR.  What does it mean to work out our salvation with fear before God?  Does that mean we should be afraid of God?  Does that mean we should stand before God in terror?

NO.  In the context of this and many messages from the teachers, priests, and prophets of the Lord is that we should work it out our salvation in respect and reverence before God.  We are asked to be reflective and ponderous in all that we do before God.

My question then, what is in our hearts?  Do we ponder and meditate upon our standing before him on a regular basis?

I echo Amulek's words that we delay no more coming unto Christ.

Our week:

The Queen spent the week in Texas.  It was lonely here at home during the day.  I have been grateful for the moments when the kids have come home, shared their lives and friends with me.

Any who, she came home late on Friday and scooted out again Sunday afternoon.

The Professor is battling a bug, but she has been busy.  She was late on Monday with a class and spend the weekend in Ogden with Gram and Gramps before attending a conference.

Tall Man, Ehl-Bo, and Lego having been doing well.  We enjoyed the moments we shared with them yesterday.  Their lives continue to be blessed in unbelievable ways.

It has been fun to hear from Puddin while he drives home from work each night.  I don't always get that when I am on the road.  They are doing well.  Lady Hawkins is enjoying a early Spring Break.  We hope she has a wonderful week.

SnackPack continued to develop his talents and skills this week.  I am excited to have him teach me so I can develop my own skills.
