Finding the Consistency

Howday!

Here we are at the end of another week.  Sometimes it just seems to fly so fast.  It makes me wonder where we will be next week and how much will change in the short amount of time.

I hope you have all had memorable adventures this week.  Have you logged them anywhere for future generations?  It might be a good idea.

My week has been full of ups and downs.  Every day has been something new.  However, one thing that has been consistent on my mind is 2 Nephi 31:15:

"And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful.  He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved."

I love the progression that brings us to this verse.  Nephi has had to exercise faith in all that has been taught by his father, the scriptures, and through personal experiences of mortality.  In verse 13, he testifies of what he has learned from all of it.  The truth of the things he knows through the burning testimony of the Holy Ghost.  Then in verse 14, he progresses in his relationship with the Godhead and hears the voice of Jesus Christ.  (I love that he is able to distinguish between these members of the Godhead)  Finally, in this verse he hears from our Father in Heaven.

Their message is consistent.  The path is the same.  Our Father in Heaven sums it up, we must endure in truth and faithfulness.  Sometimes that is easier said than done.  It is easy to fall into a routine, become casual, or take some things for granted.

As I have mentioned before, I have often caught myself falling into such casualness, especially under quarantine.  I have had to remind myself that enduring is living the same, no matter what.  I need to live life consistent with the covenants I have made.  These covenants are personal.  They are things that I need to do individually.  Yet, when confined to the walls of my own home, it is easy to be casual when no one else is watching or expecting me to do things because of circumstances around us.

I am grateful for the constant reminders that I have in my life.  I am grateful, that even in these times of isolation, the Lord knows me and what I need reminding of.  I hope you are able to recognize his hand in your lives as I have seen him in mine.

Our week -

The Queen has been a busy beaver this week.  She consistently moves from one project to the next, whittling away at her weekly lists.  She is such an inspiration to me.

The Professor is learning to find balance between work and raising Gus-Gus.  Oh the adventures of it all.

We understand that Tall Man and the Fam went camping this weekend.  We look forward to hearing how it went.

Lady Hawkins continues prepping for the next certification and trying desperately to find hours for work.  Puddin is prepping for June and the adventures training will bring.

SnackPack taught me to always live with an open mind this week, you never know what opportunities might be presented to you, even in the most unusual of places.  We will see what it brings.
