Recovering from Jet Lag
As you are all aware, I am pretty much typing with all digits. It is still kind of tender, but doing well. I am hoping that tomorrow will be the first time I have a day off without seeing a physician. That is the goal and I am sticking to it.
This week has been fun. I spent a couple days seeing the sights of different airports and the inside of those long metal flying devices. It was a short, fast, and furious trip, but fun. The closer the date came for this trip, the less excited I became. But I bucked it up and pushed forward. Though long and tiring, it was fun to enjoy one of America's favorite past times in person. Jeter does not look any different up close than he does on TV.
The Queen is on vacation this week. She just walked in and said she feels like it is going to be a long week. I hope that she finds time to enjoy it. I know there has been a great deal on her mind with the changes at work and such, and thought she would just spend some time getting ready for that transition. I hope to join her the following week and see if we can spend some time together. I will let you know.
The Professor is trying to get motivated to go back to the grind. She has a few days left this week and then it will be back in the classroom. She stretched out side the zone this week and shared a meal with someone unexpected. It turned out alright, she just needs to find some she would be more interested in doing it with. They ended the evening with Putt-Putt.
Tall Man has had one of those weeks. Things changed a little at the shop and he was asked to manage in house instead of install outside the house. I think it is cool that they see his potential, ability, and recognize his dependability so quickly. It is a little different, not what he expected, but something new and different. He is making the best of it. Now if he can figure out how to dis-inherit the sleep weakness and make it through therapy. He started some new techniques that we hope will work. Maybe I can learn something from him.
It is official for Puddin. The papers are filed and in processing. We are all excited with anticipation. As I mentioned earlier this week, a couple of Elders visited from the YSA and invited him to join them whenever he could. He is going to try to open his schedule a little more. Lately, there have been very few holes. And when he has them, he finds small things to fill them with. Luckily they are not all flammable.
SnackPack is also gearing up to return to the grind of school. He has a few last hurrahs planned for the summer, but is trying to get his head wrapped around the coming year and all that it will entail. He is hoping to secure a stand job at the local watering hole. It would not be too demanding on this time and will keep his pockets semi-lined with green.
There is your update. A quick shout out to one of our favorite Idaho Spuds. Do you know the Aranda Family. Tall Man and I just visited a Sister of the family who said they are the only active folks she can rely upon. We mentioned your station up north and she wanted us to find out if you know or have heard of them. They live in your general location.
For everyone else, we hope you have an incredible week. It looks like the rain is moving West. The islands were hit hard. Hope you stay safe and wise. The ramblings will continue just like we all do.
