Still Waiting (patiently)

I hope your week has been productive for all.  I have been concerned about our Idaho Spud (aka side kick) not getting these posts.  If you are, please send out a quick response.  If we don't get one, then we will assume you are not and have to fix it.

My week has been incredible.  The Queen and I spent most of the week in Happy Valley being enlightened at Education Week.  We did not go down until Tuesday, but it was well worth it.  On Monday, we took Puddin with us to the temple, just so we would start it out right.

That being said, my mind is filling up and and hope to follow the council of Elder Bednar by adding my bits and pieces to the flood.  I have tried to add a few, but know that I should use other mediums as well.  I just am not good at the other mediums.  I will have to get some assistance from those who know more.

Today was the first Sunday in almost 5 years that I have been able to sit with the Queen in church and what happens?  They asked her to speak.  So, I shared the pew with the boys.  It was nice.  I don't always like the perspective.  It is hard to see who is attending and who is not.  I will have to be more pro-active in seeing who is and is not in the congregation.  I did enjoy the meeting.  The Queen was able to share bits and pieces of what she learned this week.  We still have a great deal to learn.

The Professor put her nose back to the grind.  It sounds like she is going to have a good group of rug rats this year.  There will be challenges, but nothing out of the norm.  It gets a little easier each year.  It still is not fun or easy to go to class the first day, even for the the instructor.

Tall Man has been up and down this week.  Work has been kind of crazy.  The truck did not come in on Monday, so they sent him and every crew home.  By the end of the week, he was a little under the weather, so he did not make in on Friday.  I think it has to do with some of the new experiments he is involved in.  It will take a bit for his body to adjust.  On a good note, he did get his wild hog machine running again.  He has been able to ride her around the neighborhood a few times, but until he finds the means to feed her, register her, and make sure they are both protected outside the neighborhood, he just gets short trips.

Puddin has just been working, working, and working.  Both the Queen and he are going crazy waiting for the big white envelope.  He seems to be handling better than she.  The Bishop gives us daily updates now.  We are hoping it changes from "in process" to "assigned" soon.  His summer fling sitting pool side ended on Friday.  He sent it off with a bang by accepting the ALS ice bucket challenge.  It is all for a good cause, if you are not able to participate, I would count yourselves lucky.

SnackPack is ending his summer today.  He sat on the stand for the last time at the big pond and will start watching deck side for the swim club next week.  He only works a couple days a week, but with his school load, that will be good.  Tomorrow is his first day back.  Feels kind of weird to only be sending one back.  We were talking with one of the little ones in the neighborhood who is starting kindergarten this year.  I had to remind myself what it was like to have them so small.   At least, I don't have a cane.  So I am not an "old man" yet, just a grown up.
