Great White
Wasn't today beautiful. I had to open the blinds at work so I turn and watch the fluffy white flakes fall. Even though it was dark and clouding outside, just opening the windows made it brighter. Have you ever noticed how snow does that? It is amazing. The darkest of nights is not all that dark with a blanket of white snow.
We were up this morning shoveling about 7 to 8 inches from the drive way. I was extremely grateful to return from work and and find that Tenor Man had done the after work project for me. That left me full of energy to help others.
I had a wonderful visit with neighbors while we cleared their drive ways and walks. It was a much different snow this afternoon. I think I could have used a leaf blower on the snow this morning. However, would have had to use a hard working machine this afternoon.
After returning to the house and warming up, I was extremely grateful that my manual machine was still working properly. I was pleased to know that I could still go out and help others. It warmed my heart to see the appreciation in my neighbor's eyes. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
Sometimes we forget that. If we would just be more open to it. I was reading tonight about how it is by the power of his words that he created man, earth and all things there of. I was reminded that the earth and all things there of still obey the power of his words. The question came up, do I? Do I let pride get in the way? Do I lack the faith to be an instrument in His hands? I can honestly say that there are times, more than I wish to admit to, that I do lack. I hope that one day I will always be in tune so that I may enjoy more opportunities like today.
