Beauty

When I look at the picture, I am swept away. I would love to be drifting among the waves, or feeling the powdery white sand between my toes.

We have this image hanging in one of our training rooms. I love to look at it. It is a thing of beauty. As I thought about that today, I wondered, how long do you think it took to create that arch? How long did the water beat upon the shores or against this rocky cliff to create this thing of beauty?

I don't think it happened over night. Moral of this story? The Lord knows what our potential, beauty, desires, and goals. Sometimes he will come at us with a chisel, other times it will be with a constant role of waves. It does not matter. He is creating or pulling the beauty from within.

We have to remember that we are learning to do the same thing. If our desires are true, sometimes we will attack them with a chisel, but others will be worked upon day in and day out with a constant rolling of waves. We just need to keep working until we find the outcome we desire.
