On the Path

We had a wonder day yesterday. We were able to go to the Draper Temple Open House. Getting there was kind of crazy. We learned that there were 3 chapels they were using for parking. Once you found one of those chapels, you were asked to view a video, board a bus, and then go through the temple. That part was kind of crazy.

I think we were at the chapel for about an hour and 30 minutes before we were able to get on a bus. Normally, when we have gone through open houses before, we put on little slippers so the floors don't get dirty. That did not happen at this temple. Instead they had a layer of think plastic floor covering throughout the entire temple. In someplace, there were raised carpeted flooring. No one gave us a tour. No one said anything, we just walked through until the end.

At one point we were following a family of with small children. We wound in and out of rooms, halls, offices, and more. We often found ourselves back tracking and passing people that were coming in our going out. Anyway, at one point, one of the small children in front of us wanted to explore. She kept going off the plastic and trying to get to places we were not supposed to go. Her parents would chase her down remind her that she needs to stay on the path.

What a wonderful statement. We do that over and over again with our children, loved ones and friends all time. Should we be doing the same thing with our home teaching families and ward members?

Stay on the path.
