Coming together

I have found it interesting in my reading the past few days how important it is that we become unified in the things we do. I was reading the other day how when Nephi was told to leave his brothers because they threatened his life, those that left with him were those who believed as he did. They came together and moved together.

When we read about the people who followed Alma, they shared the same belief, came together and stuck together. How does this happen? I have been thinking about this a great deal. How to we reach out to each other, care, mourn, grieve, celebrate, and share the joys of life together? First, we must know each other.

This evening we invited a family over to our house for treats. It was nice. The kids played and had fun outside. The adults sat in the house and visited. We became connected. We shared our lives experiences and started to unify.

Sometimes we need to do this. We need to step out of our comfort zones and come together. Some times we need to open our doors and let other in. By doing so, trust comes, relationships are build, and we being to care, grieve, celebrate, and share the joys of life together. I challenge you to find the opportunity to do the same.
